Battery tender extension cables are great .I have an 06 GTO and a 13 corvette GTS in my garage. Cars in the driveway keep their batteries topped with chargers in the garage using the 25 ft. cable reaching out to the driveway. they are good quality like everything from battery tender . Ijust wish that they made everything in the usa . Bigger units are American made though.

A Droid Razr Maxx with otterbox case barely fits into this mount. I think it would be a tight squeeze even without the case, but I won't take my Razr on my bike without its case. I guess the upside is that it's unlikely to fall out.

This is a nice one touch open and close phone holder for your car that can fit phones that are 2 to 3 inches in width. It has a highly adjustable base and phone holding mechanism that allows you to set the angle and tilt to suit your height and what style of vehicle you are driving. You can rotate the phone into the landscape or into the portrait mode to fit the application you are using the phone for like taking calls or as a GPS.

The stand has a very sticky gel mount suction cup that easily sticks to your windshield or to any smooth surface in your car. There is a lever that pulls on the cup and it creates a powerful suction force that holds the stand in place. If the gel pad loses its sticky surface over time you can rejuvenate it by simply washing it with slightly warm water and letting it air dry. Do not use any soap to clean the gel cup. It is always nice to clean the area where you are going to mount the suction cup to make sure that it is securely held into place. No other adhesives are required. If your dash is porous then of course suction cups will not work on porous surfaces. Two buttons on the side of the mount quickly release the phone or prepare the stand to receive the phone by expanding the holding arms and locking them open. You set the phone into the stand and lean it back and the mount quickly closes to securely hold your phone. (Please look at my video) There is a button in the center of the back of the stand that when pressed closes the arms to hold your phone into place. My video shows all of the adjustments of the stand including the lowering of the lower feet that your phone rests on to allow you to mount longer phones.

The stand opened up enough that my iPhone 4 in an Otterbox Defender case fit into the stand and was held into place. This is nice as we do not like removing our phones from their cases. Please be aware that some states have restrictions on where you can mount windshield mounted devices and some states do not allow you to use them at all. Please make sure that you check your local laws regarding the use of windshield mounted electronics.

I like this stand and I rated it as a 5 star item.

I was supplied a sample for test and evaluation and I promised to provide a fair and honest review.

GreatShield Quick grip has a strong suction that works both on the windshield and as well as the dashboard. I prefer suction mounts to the adhesive mounts because I don't want to stick anything permanently to my dash. My dash is slightly textured, so not every suction dash mount works on it. This one sticks well. The second thing I like is that it is very easy to mount and dismount the phone. I am fairly short so it takes extra contortions for me to reach a windshield mount, and if it does not open easily it takes me extra time to mount the phone. This holder solves this problem in two ways for me, I can mount it on the dash and it is quite easy to mount and dismount the phone.

The vacuum for the mount is created by pressing down the lever. The gel pad is washable, so I clean it once a week to keep the stickiness at its maximum. The mount can be position in many ways, and I am attaching a video which shows how it works.

The width of the holder adjusts from 2.125" " to 3". The depth of the holder is 0.75". The depth of the holder works with a regular slim phone (with or without a gel skin). It will not hold a battery with an extended battery as it does not extend far enough to hold a fatter phone securely.

I received this phone mount from the manufacture for evaluation, testing and review. In the recent few years I had a chance to test a number of different car mounts, and this one has become one of my favorites for the phone that does not have an extended battery. Note that my husband's phone with an extended battery did not fit well, so the dash mount is not totally "universal".

This product is very well built, for the price you cannot go wrong. I used this with my Samsung S4 and is works perfect. Suction cup has a button you push down to create an excellent suction on windows and also on car dashboard. This is the best car mount I have purchased yet, great quality, many options for placement and movement. It also has side buttons that open the holder to fit larger phones and it snaps to the phone once mounted. I would recommend this to anyone.

Mediabridge makes two versions of this dual USB charger. This one is for devices that use the USB standard for charging devices: Samsung, Kindle, Motorola, LG, and so forth. The plastic case is grey, and the box is labeled "12 Volt USB Charger 3.1 Amp Shorted Grey". Note the words "shorted" and "grey".

The other version Mediabridge High Output Dual USB Car Charger For iPad and iPhone (Dual Port High Output Design: 1.0 Amp USB for iPhone; 2.1 Amp for iPad or additional iPhone) is for Apple products, and has a black plastic case.

Since 2007, the USB standard says an A/C adapter that can supply more than 500mA (1/2 Amp) should identify itself by connecting together ("shorting") the two data lines (the middle two of the connector's four wires). This charger does that. Apple expects a charger that can supply more than 500mA to identify itself by putting 2.0 volts on one data pin and 2.8 volts on the other (with respect to the ground pin). Obviously, if the two data pins are connected together (as required by the USB standard) they will have the same voltage; one can't be at 2.0 volts and the other 2.8 volts.

What this means is you can't make a charger that just works with products that comply with the USB standard and also with certain Apple products. Most of the dual chargers have one USB socket that works with Apple and one socket that works with standard products. That's great if you have both products. If you don't have any Apple products, then you're paying for a dual charger and only getting a single working socket with those products. With this one, both sockets work!

Some chargers are designed to work with Apple products but come with a special cable that shorts the data pins. With those chargers, regular USB cables will charge Apple products but the supplied cable won't (at least, not at high current). And regular USB cables won't charge standard products at high speed, only the supplied cable will. I think this is just asking for trouble. Not only do you have to keep track of which cable to use for charging, it also introduces a cable that looks like a USB cable but won't work WITH ANY PRODUCT for connecting to a computer for data (because the data lines aren't connected properly). Why would anyone want to have a cable like that floating around, just waiting to cause trouble?

So, bottom line: if you don't have Apple products to charge in your car, this is a great dual charger. If you only have Apple products, order the black version instead. And if you have a mix of standard and Apple products, look for the dual chargers that have one socket for each (but watch out... most of those have low current on the standard socket and high current only on the Apple socket).

One small problem: this product came with the manual for the Apple product (the black plastic model), which says it is compatible with iPad and isn't compatible with Samsung Galaxy or Motorola Xoom. That's wrong. Just ignore the manual.

When driving with the GPS and Bluetooth on, the power on my Samsung G3 would drop faster than the regular charger could replace it, especially if you make a few calls. On road trips, when my wife is driving and I'm playing games, it was even worse. With this charger I can put on 1% in about 8 min if I'm off the phone with GPS and Bluetooth is on if it's plugged into the 2.1 amp slot. We have two 12v sockets in our cars so I cannot speak to charging a low use device in the 1.0 amp slot at the same time.

I am also able to charge/use my 8.9" KindleHD 4G LTE in a similar fashion.

This review is focus on the light grey android version, not the black Apple version. While I have heard conflicting reports about whether they are interchangeable, my friend has a black apple version and it seemed to charge my Samsung phone and KF HD w/o a problem so it you are a member of a mixed race family (Android/Apple) you can probably share...just don't hold my feet to the fire on this, it worked w/o problems for my equipment (Apple working on Android devices) on 2 long trips. It was what convinced me to buy the android version. I would email rhe company if you have any questions.

You WILL get an email directly from MediaBridge after your purchase asking if you have problems and they will respond...how often does that happen these days.

Best Deals for Mediabridge High Output Dual USB Car Charger For Android Devices

The documentation in the package is wrong. It states that the charger is only useful for Apple products and not for Samsung, Asus, etc. This is incorrect. It is perfectly suitable for charging non-Apple devices, IOW, as advertised.

I checked the wiring and found the D+ and D(green and white wires) are appropriately shorted together. This is in compliance with the USB standard for high-current charger devices. (Apple uses a completely different wiring and voltage signaling scheme on D+ and D-, which preceded the USB standard now used by everyone else).

I then tested the actual output using a variable current load. The "1.0 AMP" socket produced about 1.4 amps before the voltage dropping to about 4.2V. The "2.1 AMP" socket went to about 1.9 amps before dropping to about 4.3V. Part of the voltage drop was due to the cables I was using, so the actual voltage at the socket was a bit higher. This is fine.

So, ignore the supplied documentation. The voltage and current capability is perfectly well suited for charging the big batteries in your USB devices. It essentially supplies the maximum current permitted by the Standard. The so called 2.1A rating is a nominal upper limit, and generally no device, for example my Nexus 10, pulls more than about 1.8 amps.

Now that we are a smartphone-using, ipod-playing, tablet-reading household, we often need to charge multiple items simultaneously in the car. We leave this plugged in with two cables (one for phone, one for 30-pin iPods) and never have to worry about whether we have the right stuff to make sure we can stay connected while we're mobile.

Actually bought two, my son and myself...easy to use, not to many false alarms. The battery doesn't last as long as advertise but definitely last several hours.

I'm somewhat confused by all of the sounds. I don't find the instructions very clear. I like having a city option.

Best Deals for Whistler Xtr-420 Battery Operated Radar Detector

Works just fine as far as its advertised purpose -definitely does an admirable job of detecting police radar/laser transmissions. Often, I feel as though perhaps it works too well. That is, we'll be driving by airports (or other radar-intensive places) and this unit will pick up the transmissions.

A couple of issues: for whatever reason, the unit will unexpectedly sound all its alerts, and then shut itself off. No idea why. The unit will power back up without any issue, but obviously weird that it'll just turn off for no reason. Sent it into Whistler for service. They replaced the batteries and sent me instructions on how to reset the unit. Okay ... well, I guess if it still works ... But yeah, other than being slightly annoying, while it shuts itself off on occasion, it works as advertised.

Battery life isn't nearly close to being as billed. Realistically, it goes for about four-to-six hours or so before needing a charge. I find that operation (and recharging) seems to be a little smoother if you plug it into an AC source as opposed to running off your car's power. That, and it's one less cable to have to maneuver around in the car.

Honest reviews on Whistler Xtr-420 Battery Operated Radar Detector

I've had my XTR-420 for almost a year now, and based on the comments below, it seems that nobody is reading the instruction manual that came with it. If so, they'd see almost all of their problems go away. The biggest issue I see is that they don't know thet unit has an "auto-off" feature that is on by default (Why? I have no idea), but the manual tells you how to turn that off.

I had the same issue when I 1st got mine, but then I read the instructions and turned it off. I also bought a better set of higher Nimh AA batteries, and now easily get 13-16 hours of use per charge. Buying an Cigarette Lighter Wall adapter ($5 on Amazon), makes it easier to charge as well, I leave the adapter plugged into the outlet, and the charging cord plugged in to the adapter, so I'm just moving the detector from the windshield bracket to the garage to charge it. Must better tham messing with wires inside the car in my opinion.

I really like this detector. It's got the VG2, which is great, and a ton of settings you can adjust. The ONLY negative I have about it is that the bracket-disconnect button on the side of the detector should stick out more as it's hard after a while to get it pushed in all the way to release. I made my own modification and superglued a small piece of black plastic I trimmed down on the top of the button. It looks like it belongs and the problem was instantly solved. A very brief blast of silicone spray into the bracket slot on the detector also made releasing it super-smooth.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Whistler Xtr-420 Battery Operated Radar Detector

I checked this device all possible ways, and the conclusion is only one: it is not working properly. It simply cannot detect any radar or laser beam. No reaction while passing speed cameras, automatic doors, when police is pointing radar at you, just nothing.

I'm really disappointed, as I also possess old Cobra device which is even too sensitive, giving me also some false alarms, but always detects all speed cameras and other road traps.

I don't know if my device is just broken (but all initials tests and settings tells it's OK) or it is just designed wrongly and it is just weak product,

Wasted money. That's all

This thing ROCKS. It is so well thought out. It has everything I want in a marine stereo.

I installed it a month ago and I am really hoping it holds up. I've gone through lots of boat stereos over the years but this looks like the last one I will ever buy.

This unit does not have CD player in it which is a HUGE plus as far as I am concerned. CD players only last a season or two down here on the Texas Gulf coast. I wanted a stereo that had simple way to connect my iTouch/iPhone to the stereo. The Fusion IP600G makes it so easy. Flip down the gasketed face plate, push in the pod, flip up face plate and crank it. The pod is sealed in tight. No cables, no adaptors and no iPod sliding around on the deck.

I also ordered the IP56 Remote Control. Even though the stereo is supposed to be very weather resistant, I mounted it in the console to keep it out of the weather. I mounted the remote control on the dash. Mounting the remote requires drilling a big 3" hole in the dash but there was room. I drilled out a smaller 1 1/4" hole where an old remote use to be. Turned out to be a very neat installation.

The controls are big, easy to see, easy to use and very intuitive on both pieces. I really like the volumne knobs. You don't have to look at it to do someting as simple as changing the volume. Both units have a mute button which has always been one of my requirements. Being able to kill the stereo quickly is very useful when things go ballistic on board. The remote has a screen and shows song names and other important info as does the stereo unit.

It has a ton more capabilities than I will ever use. Got them both at a great price on Amazon I highly recommend it!

There is plenty positive to say about this stereo. Firstly, it's built like a BSH. If you drop it during installation it might dent the floor. It is really solid. The keypad has a simple layout, something I also like and one of the reasons I replaced the Kenwood stereo in my boat. I had two Kenwoods so far and they can be pretty complicated to figure out.

This unit is powerful and has plenty of punch, so may not need an amplifier. I'm not an audiophile, but the sound quality seems pretty good. You can adjust the the bass and treble, but that's about it (a 5 band equalizer would have been nice). The lcd display is large, crisp and very readable, even from a short distance. The drop face design to plug in the ipod is clever and very well built. It comes with a variety of plastic harness adapaters to cradle just about any ipod model, and these adapters are beefy and built to last.

I wouldn't tell anyone to not buy this stereo, but here's a couple things I don't like about it (and this only pertains to the radio tuner). On lake Ontario I was able to receive a lot of radio stations clearly with the Kenwood. Using the same antenna (which is just a random length wire hidden under the fiberglass), the Fusion had trouble with a lot of stations and they came in weak. The Kenwood tuner has it beat there. Because of the weaker reception, the autoseek function found only a couple stations on the entire FM band. To move from autoseek to manual tuning (which allows you to toggle though the FM band .2 MHz at a time), you must hold down the Forward or Reverse button for 3 seconds. What really annoys me is it then retrurns to autoseek, so every time you want to move to another station manually you have to hold the F or R button down 3 seconds again. It would have been nice if the Fusion was programmable to allow it to lock onto one tuning method or the other.

But, since I rarely use the radio anyway and bought this unit mainly for ipod use, this isn't too much a problem for me. ipod functionality on this unit is simple and elegant. I'm hoping to improve tuner reception with a better antenna.

Best Deals for Fusion MS-IP600G, iPOD Dock/AUX/AM/FM/ Sirrus Ready Marine Stereo

When my JBL Marine stereo went, I researched online and everyone seemed to say Fusion was the Marine stereo to get, and I have to agree. This stereo rocks. Don't bother buying an amp, the internal one will be more than enough while cruising. I chose the IPOD/IPhone version of the stereo because we don't use CD's anymore. It comes with several adaptors for each apple version you may have. They just slide right inside the unit and out of the way. It does not have an adapter for the IPHONE 5. But you can hook it up thru the external adapter, you just lose the ability to control and read all the songs and titles.

Don't even bother looking around at other stereos. Also, get the MS-WR600 wired remote control for it. I installed the stereo down in the cabin, and remote on the swim platform. It's great to have it back there and being able have full control of everything.

Honest reviews on Fusion MS-IP600G, iPOD Dock/AUX/AM/FM/ Sirrus Ready Marine Stereo

Purchased this to replace an original equipment Clarion in our Sea Ray. Love the sound quality, the iPod dock is fantastic and the menu is very intuitive. The only reason I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars is the mounting template was inaccurate, the cut-out was not big enough and required rework on my mounting plate.

This radio had its first test the other night when I gambled and lost on a 30% chance of rain with the top off my jeep. The seats got wet, interior got wet, the dash got wet and the stereo got wet. Turned on the jeep as the water glistened on the stereo and waited for something bad to happen. Instead it worked perfectly.

My Prius has a rough dashboard and a windshield that slopes very sharply. Thus, the suction cup mounts are not good solutions. Fortunately, the friction mount is a great solution. It works much better than I expected. Very stable, does not slide, and lets me adjust my Nuvi to a variety of different angles. I can place the GPS anywhere on the dash or even on the center console. Also works great when transferred to my wife's Ford.

Only downside to the device is that it has a rather large footprint, but not prohibitively large. I like the fact that I can easily use this in both of our family vehicles depending on where we need the GPS.

UPDATE: Now that I have used this mount regularly since May, I have to say this is the best mounting solution I've found for a GPS or any other device for my car. It hasn't slid out of place once!! Given the rise in GPS units being stolen from cars, this mount allows you to easily stash your GPS Unit and mount out of sight and then put it back into position with ease.

2009 Update: Still using this in my Prius and my wife has one too. It's held up quite well. It IS a bit bulky to store out of the way when not in use, but still a good solution. I usually remove my GPS from the mount (a simple process) and then place the mount as far under the seat as it will go. Not perfect, but the best solution I've found to date.

This mount works great. The selection of Garmin mounts is confusing as some are two parts and some are one. If you have a Nuvi with the included windshield mount, then this is the only part you need to buy. The included mount disassembles at the ball and socket joint and attaches to this one. I can't say it will never come off the dash if I do some really high speed maneuver, but so far it's held steady for all regular driving.

I like that it's easy to move the mount and gps unit down to the floor when I park. Yeah a thief could still see it if they came right up to my car but at least it's not obvious from halfway across the parking lot like a windshield mount is. A thief that sees an empty windshield mount is probably going to assume (correctly) that I've just put the unit in the glove compartment.

Best Deals for Garmin Portable Friction Mount - Frustration Free Packaging

While the friction mount on the bottom of the beanbag is pretty darn stable even with stops, starts, and turns I sometimes would find it sliding across the dash. The solution has been to use one of those little 6x4 inch mats sold at Radio Shack or Walmart for keeping cellphones on the dash. The mat is sticky on one side but leaves no marks or glue. I have not had one slide since using the mat. I even bring the mat with me in rental cars. This gives a very secure mount that is very easy to take from car to car.

Honest reviews on Garmin Portable Friction Mount - Frustration Free Packaging

The first time I tried this mount was in a rental car for a Garmin C530, and I never thought it would stay on the slightly sloping dash of the Pontiac Grand Prix but it held firm going up and down San Francisco's hilly roads. That prompted me to buy one for my car. Essentially this mount is a bean bag with a mouse pad like rubber base but its engineered to stay where you put it and not slide around unless you move it. The good thing is that it stays put even if you brake suddenly, and if you drive in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic like me every day you'll appreciate this even more!

The advantages are:

No sticking on windshield. This is a BIG advantage as the windshield mount starts to come off easily after a year of usage, less if you leave it in your car while it's parked in the sun. There is nothing worse than your GPS sliding off while you're driving round a tricky bend, especially if you are new to the area. Sometimes it can be downright dangerous.

The windshield mount also alerts thieves that a GPS is in the car. A friction mount can be placed down under the car seat when you leave the car without needing to disconnect anything so that you're ready to go quickly when you come back to the car.

The other big advantage is the ability to move it around to the position you want it. If a passenger is sitting in your car you can just slide it to their side and they can input the information while you are driving. It also makes it easy to slide it closer to yourself. Since I have the Nuvi 660 I often make calls with the bluetooth feature while driving, it is easy to slide it towards me when I am speaking to someone in order to get better voice reception.

This mount works for all Nuvis as they have the "snap the ball in the joint". If you buy any model of Nuvi then this is all you need, no other adapter parts are needed. It's also easy to switch this mount between cars or move it to a rental car when you travel. It has been the best and most useful accessory I could buy for my Nuvi 660.

I've had this item for 3 months, and initially was very impressed with it's holding power on the dash. It's not magic it will come off if you make a sudden turn or floor it from a stop light but generally it stayed put, even through some *very* curvy roads in West Virginia at a "spirited" pace.

Over time, however, it seems to have absorbed the oils or possiblly Armor-All out of the dash (leaving a distinct dry spot on the dash in the shape of the mount), which has impacted it's performance. It still generally stays put, but takes much less aggressive a maneuver to make it move. I am currently trying different cleaners to try to reclaim some of the original grip.

As mentioned many times, the ability to remove it from the car, put it on the floor, move it to different cars, etc. is very nice. I would buy it again.

I bought this tool primarily for use when I didn't have access to air for my normal impact tools. I have used it in several different scenarios and it hasn't let me down yet. With it's ~148 lb/ft of torque, it is a very powerful tool for it's size and weight. I have used it for several things from automotive work and general shop work to removing and installing mower blades on a lawn tractor. Don't make a common mistake though. This is not a heavy duty impact. But for it's intended use and torque capacity, it is a good tool. I do like also the switchable power level. Not all jobs require maximum torque. I do wish it was a 3/8 inch square drive instead of 1/2 inch. I am most impressed by the light weight afforded by the lithium batteries. The same tool with Ni-cads would probably weigh twice as much or more. The impact is a good compact size also which makes it nice to use in some tight spots where a normal size 1/2" air impact would not fit. The included case, spare battery and Smart Charger (My words, not theirs) are very nice also. For me, this tool is a good value.

This impact tool has lasted me at least 5 years with intermittent heavy use and still works great. The tool is light weight and provides good battery life.

I could not get the memory card to stay in the camera -it would spring back out as soon as I stopped putting pressure on the card. I tried inserting the card many, many times at various angles and pressures but it never "latched" inside and therefore did not make an electrical connection. At one point, I was able to shoot some video by holding the card inside the camera with my finger. The video turned out great, very detailed, good color and surprisingly little distortion when panning. I then tried another card, this time a name brand, Sandisk, and it did work, but only once. After that, I could not get the card to stay in the camera.

Thinking that I had just been unlucky, I returned the camera and bought another of the same model from the same vendor, SpyTec. Unfortunately, it wasn't a fluke. I had the same difficulty with the second camera.

Both cameras have been returned.

This device is simply amazing. The quality of the video in good light has to be seen to be believed. It is stored in H.264 avi format so it is easily edited and copied from the device to the computer.

Although it was shipped from China the company sent it immediately and it arrived in less than two weeks. Very happy with the purchase and the company.

This piece of equipment works great, images are good at high speed and high altitude.Would give a "5star" rating but the 5th star indicated I love the thing and it's a piece of electronic equipment.I (like) it...a lot.Audio works good as well but on a motorcycle all ya get is wind, and on a quadcopter you get vibration and propeller sound, there is a config tool available online to disable audio as well as a mute button in my media playback program {perfect}.

The first time I used it when it arrived I attached a chunk of plastic to the rear keychain hole and held it in my teeth on the scooter ride to town."That" was interesting...perfect recording.

Bought this for my new S105 Samsung..provides quick recharge on the road. Does the job well..only drawback is...its a bit bulky..other than that works perfectly fine.
