I just received the helmet and fell in love with it. Maybe last year it was mono but mine came with stereo headset and the music sounds better then most headphones i own. I did notice the sound going in and out though while driving. I will see if that will get better. But for now I'm very impressed. I will give you a update if I find any problems.

This helmet had only one speaker in it. It connected easily to my Ipod Touch but then I realized I couldn't get my tunes in stereo, big let down. I also had problems with it keeping a charge. After charging for 4 hours it only worked for a few minutes. It fit OK but seemed to be quite heavy.

I bought a VCAN Blinc 210 when they were first introduced over a year ago. Sadly, even even the new ones suffer from the same poor performance. The shield didn't seal, or even make contact with the seal on the helmet causing a LOT of noise. The helmet itself is LOUD, and the volume on the bluetooth receiver is very poor. The initial advertising, and even the FCC registration for the electronics state the bluetooth is a2dp stereo capable, which it is in fact..but they didn't plug in a second speaker! 2 months after I bought the helmet, it was knocked off my counter to the floor (about 30" drop) and the liner separated from the shell. Be advised, this helmet is marketed under 3-4 different brands that I am aware of. The bluetooth module is the identifier, as it is manufactured by the same company that actually makes the helmet shell.

I have 38 years riding experience and have always worn a helmet needless to say I have owned more than a few helmets.
The VCAN 210 has some good features and few quarks.
1. The internal Flip down sun visor is excellent!!! Makes riding much more enjoyable.
2. The latching mechanism started out stiff but works well after 4 or 5 cycles.
3. Peripheral vision is better than most modular helmets and some full face I've had.
4. Chin vent is a joke with little airflow as it opens away from the airflow.
5. Top vent works better but not as well as it should.
6. It also has a non-removable chin flap that seals the bottom of the helmet to you neck. This will be very welcome come cooler weather but in summer it makes for a very hot head.
7. The blue tooth works well enough good sound and the mic does a good job of noise reduction and I have no problems talking on the phone at any speed with visors and or modular unit up or down.
8. Getting the blue tooth to linkup takes patients.
9. Headphone comfort takes a while to get positioned just right but once positioned correctly for your head they are comfortable and cause no pain on long rides.
10. Overall I like it and am glad I bought it.

I was very happy with this helmet, because it was as described, and pictured, and was at a very nice price. Drawbacks were given to me before i bought the item. If you look up reviews of this model helmet you will see whats wrong with it. You can't hear the music over windnoise (unless you have a windshield).
It was a little too big for me, Recommend getting a smaller than usual size.
