When I was looking for car chargers for my Samsung Galaxy S 4G, I was kind of disappointed in the lack of reviews. I ended up getting this one because of the price and the fact that it has the retractable wire.
After a year of use, it is still a wonderful item! It did seem to get hot at first, but now it just gets to a decent warm most chargers become. Other than the great retractable cable, I also like the blue light when it's active, although I turn it so it faces down so it's not too distracting while driving!
This charger is definitely a great purchase. I'm very glad I bought it a year ago!

Review of Ziotek USB mini to 30-pin Charge & Sync Adapter
I received the Ziotek Usb min to 30 pin sync today..
I tested on my Iphone 3gs and 2nd gen nano.. Battery indicators came up as charging with no issues, synching devices also no issues.. I also tested on external battery packs such as Trent and just mobile, product works like a charm.. It does not charge when connected to a usb hub without a power source, but it does sync's with no issues.

Schumacher IP-55 Instant Power 5-Ah Portable Jump Starter Reviews
Seems well made and for the price you can't beat it. Mine came with 1/2 charge but charged up quickly after plugging it in for 30 minutes. Read the manual. You have to recharge every 30 days to maintain a full charge. That is normal for these portable chargers.

You can't tell from the pictures just how small this unit is. Mine also had a 50% charge upon receipt and did not take long to fully charge. I was looking for a jump starter that I could keep in my car for emergency situations. My previous jump starter was too large and I wasn't able to keep it in my car without it getting in the way. This one is small enough that I will be able to keep it in the trunk at all times. I am also looking foreword to using the 12V charger on our next camping trip. For the price I think this is a great buy.Best Deals for Schumacher IP-55 Instant Power 5-Ah Portable Jump Starter

These lithium ferrous phosphate (LiFePO4) batteries are fantastic! Amazing cranking power; they hold their charge even when unused for months; and they'll outlast a regular battery by years. I have been running one on my 1100cc Shadow Aero for about a year now and it has not let me down at all. There are a few manufacturers of these batteries now and I elected to go with the Ballistic Battery instead of the Shorai or others because I think you get more bang for your buck with the Ballistic. This Ballistic 12 cell which has an incredible 410 Cold Cranking Amps started my Aero at 28ᴼ F one morning this week with no problems! The lithium batteries are considerably more expensive than lead acid, but I think they are definitely worth it. The current Amazon price ($162 with free shipping)is about the best I've seen.

I first found this style of battery at Aircraft Spruce, an aviation supply company. I purchased the first one there. It was close to ideal 8 amps and 1 pound. Simply amazing.
I bought this battery from Amazon to use as the main battery to start my 210 HP engine. The specs put it up to the task. I am a few months away from the first flight, so it remains to be seen if it meets the specs, but I suspect it will. They offer an even larger battery that is only one pound heavier if I need it.
This battery will replace a 14 pound gel-cell battery, saving 11 pounds. That will solve a lot of problems for me with aircraft balance and overall weight.
And, the battery is cheaper through Amazon.
My bike is a 2009 Buell 1125CR and only requires 200cca to start the bike. This battery will deliver and has not failed me yet, but there is something you need to understand. Everyone knows or should know that these batteries need to be "woke" up and that they also don't like the cold. Well this a nice way to put it, you have to kit this thing out of bed cause it likes to sleep. Letting the bike sit for more then a day will require doing 4 false starts (attempting to crank the engine) and if you do around town riding and the bike sits more then an hour somewhere it will need 1 to 2 false starts before it fires up. I don't like this for several reasons, one is people look at you like your bike is dead (not that big of a deal), two is that it is hard on your bike doing false cranks ALL THE TIME, three is that the battery will throw false codes to your bike during the starting process since its voltage will dip in and out. I have not had it reset the clock (time) on the display yet but I am willing to bet it will during the winter.
Ill be keeping the battery since I dont feel like going through another battery but next battery will be a standard battery. Just be aware of the benefits and down falls with this battery. I am not sure if the $70 tender they sell for this will keep the battery "awake."

Battery lacks enough power to turn over my 05 Harley Davidson with 95" kit on a nice warm day in SoCal. Stock OEM battery works fine. Might have done better with a 16 cell but the 12 cell was so feeble I'm afraid to risk money on that. The last Charger/Maintainer of this quality I purchased from another source for about $40.00 plus shipping. From Amazon I paid about $25.00 and got free shipping. If you have a vehicle that doesn't get driven much, the battery will eventually die an early death and have to be replaced, often at great expense. This device keeps your battery fully charged without over charging. It has two lamps, one that tells you when it is charging and one that lights when it is fully charged. I checked mine today and it was fully charged! Highly recommended. Not a big fan of the Peak PK0AC 1.5 Charger. I think by now I have learned my lesson to stay away from linear battery chargers. This charger just does not provide the same performance and safety features as many of the smart chargers.

eForCity White Travel Charger with IC Chip for Apple iPod Gen2 Review
Good adapter. Does what it advertises. Works very well to charge the iPod Shuffle. Seems to charge much quicker compared to the normal computer hook-up. Only reason I took a star off is that it looks cheap and it's rather noisey when it charges...sort of a low buzzing noise.

Best Go Power! GP-PWM-25 25 Amp Pulse with Modulated Digital Solar Deals
I recently decided to add a solar system to my RV, and the local dealer had a poor selection of controllers. With the installation in the RV, I did not want the panel to have exposed wiring (most controllers have the wiring attached to the front of the controller). This panel fits into my monitor panel area in the RV and can be installed as "Flush Mount". The instructions were clear and simple, they provided a template for cutting the hole in the paneling and installation was simple. It can be set to operate on Wet Cell, AGM and Gel Cell type batteries. The display shows the DC voltage, amperage (charge rate) and the status of the batteries. If you are installing solar and are going to run less than 25 amps, this is an excellent choice.

Motorola MR355R 35-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio Review

I worked in the telecom industry portion that has, among other things, hand-held radios. I know how they work; I know the physics behind each segment of the radio spectrum; I know the technologies, etc., etc.
That said, I could never give any of these kinds of "FRS/GMRS" two-way radios a five-star rating. None of them deserve it, nor, given the limitations placed on this radio type by the F.C.C., could any of them deserve a rating better than "mediocre", or "average". That is the limitation of this kind of power in this part of the spectrum. And it is true for any of these radios, regardless of what brand name is on them, although for quality, surely Motorola is the best of their type.
THIRTY-FIVE MILES? Ha! Maybe, just maybe, in a total vacuum, at a temperature of absolute-zero, you could get one of these radios to communicate 35 miles, but not anywhere on this planet that I can think of. Be realistic and you'll be satisfied. But if you expect 35 miles of range, or even 20% of that, you WILL be disappointed. I bought a pair of these radios, and I am as satisfied as I can be. They are good for what they are, at the price you pay.
But, if all you really need is a radio that CAN communicate for a distance not to exceed, say, two miles, then these radios are certainly the best of their kind I've ever seen. So, take them for what they are worth, and believe me, these Motorolas are hands-down the best of their kind. But none of these radios lives up to their advertising, and never will. It is simply not possible at the rated power in the alloted portion of the radio spectrum.
During disasters such as the Oklahoma City Bombing, Hurricane Katrina and the September 11th attacks and countless other emergency situations, what is one of the first things to go down? Communications. Cell phones are useless, and landline infrastructure/internet is the next to go. FRS,GMRS in the simplex mode (radio to radio) are a unobstructed line of sight communication device. I do take issue with the 35 mile claim on many of these simplex units. It won't happen unless both communicators are "HIGH ON SEPARATE MOUNTAIN TOPS" As previously mentioned, the GMRS Repeater operation will extend your range to acceptable distances.
Many areas around the country have privately owned GMRS Repeaters. A repeater directory may be found on this web site:
If you are looking for a walkie-talkie like I had in the 70s for short range communications (FRS) then save your money and purchase one of the 29.00 units.
Otherwise, the Motorolas have good volume and clarity but to me reliability is everything. Range seemed to be about as good as the Midlands I was using (GXT1000VP4.
Lastly, the included earpiece and corded mic was tough to use as Motorola put the mic right next to the button, so care had to be taken when pushing the transmit button to not cover the mic.
I will be returning these and looking for another solution.

The newest, most exciting feature is the GMRS repeater operation. A repeater is a special base station that simultaneously receives and retransmits a signal from a mobile or portable station to extend the range. Best Deals for Motorola MR355R 35-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio
I purchased these radios after extensive research discovering they are the best 2 way consumer radio motorola makes. once they arrived i charged them fully and followed the instructions to the T. Tested them in the country with nothing in the way of the 2 radios and they didnt make it past 4 miles. in the small little town i live in of 150 people, the radios managed to cut out after 3 blocks and no more communication. also the operating temps of these radios are insane. 20 degrees F and they shut down and refuse to transmit. i was using the hi power channel transmitting at 2 watts as well as the hi power ptt button. called motorola and they told me that they dont make them even. come to find out they hired a company giant international to build them. motorola only builds their business class radios is what they told me. i returned the items to amazon as they did no good. i mentioned that i would at least want to get 1 mile out of a 35 mile radio. guess not. im now trying out the much better looking midland gtx1000vp4 with a transmit power that ranges up to 5 watts! hoping to have better luck with midland. take my advice and dont waste your time with these supposed top of the line latest motorola radios.. they are more than a joke. i purchased a pair of cheap $20 midlands for kids to use in the woods and they worked better...in colder weather (by the way midland operates in -22F).Honest reviews on Motorola MR355R 35-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio
I bought three pairs to keep in touch with my kids and other family on our ski trip. Suffice it to say that when these radios got cold they simply did not work. I could hear the others (using other models) but could not transmit. Useless in my opinion. FYI it was below 30 deg F where these were used. I also had pair of Midlands and they worked fine all the time but could not get the Midlands to talk with these Motorolas even on the same channel/sub with Motorola Qt disabled. All of this resulted in a very frustrating experience.Otherwise, the Motorolas have good volume and clarity but to me reliability is everything. Range seemed to be about as good as the Midlands I was using (GXT1000VP4.

I researched these radios on multiple sites and was surprised by the wide range of opinions. The biggest criticism seemed to be lack of range. The other hunters on the deer lease used various Motorola radios with satisfactory results and for ease of communicating with them I decided to purchase them through Amazon. We hunt in central Texas on an approximately 5000 acre ranch, with mixed terrain (woods, fields, flat and hills). These radios seemed to be more than adequate when communicating with the other hunters. The rechargeable batteries seemed to provide more than enough stand-by time and the ability to supplement them with standard batteries is a plus. The only reason that I didn't give them five stars is the short period of use. While I may find other issues over time and with more severe service, these radios had good range in the field.Thursday, March 27, 2014
Buy PulseTech XC-PARALLEL Battery Charger
I've had a vehicle that has been sitting for about a year with this charged hooked up to it. It keeps the batteries ready to roll at all times. I went and fired it up after about 3 months and they were totally charged and ready to roll. It seems to bring the batteries up to 14.40 volts really slowly and hold them there. I haven't measured the amperage yet but it's evidently pretty low amperage. It's enough though to keep up with any phantom loads you might have as long as they're not an amp or something.
I really wonder if buying the parallel circuit model is worth it though. I have a diesel and have two batteries so decided to just get it, but after thinking about it, I don't really see how the charger would even be able to tell and I don't see what it would do differently. The parallel model seems to just have a sticker on it that says parallel and it costs more. It doesn't have any description on the box or anything that says what it's doing differently than the normal one.

I hooked this thing up as soon as I received it. My motorhome batteries (2 ea 12 VDC in parallel) were on a constant charge of 13.8 V from the converter on board, but only showed 12.51 V when in a no load condition. After 2ea 24 hour charging/de-sulfating cycles, the no-load voltage increased to 13.4 volts. I am well pleased with this equipment. A great product. I'll leave the motorhome batteries over the winter, so we will be rearin' to go come spring time. Thanks PulseTech and Amazon!G.Erro

This is my 3rd device from Xtreme Charge. This Charger/Maintence device actually increases the duty and life cycles of all my 12 volt batteries. I own a tour bus that has 10 expensive batteries. They are all now over 5 years old and still charge to 100%. The replacement cost of these batteries will be close to $5000. The Xtreme charge assures me that the Lead sulfate crystals are being purged and extending the life of these batteries. I am so sure that these Xtreme charge units work that I now have three separate units. Two are used for multiple batteries in parallel and the third is for single batteries. I keep one hooked up continuously to the bank of 6 batteries and aternate a second unit between three other banks of two batteries each. I use my third Xtreme charge unit for single batteries only which I alternate between three other vehicles. I highy recommend the Xtreme charge products and suggest that you do some research on their amazing new technology. It is not just pulse charging. It is a totally unique two phase process which provides high freequency pulse conditioning on one circuit and proprietary algorhithms on the other.Monday, March 17, 2014

I ordered this alarm system and having been a professional auto technician, found that the instructions were not always on target with regard to wiring it up. Getting return calls was slow and then some of the spoken instructions given incorrect. Following them has made the remote start of the system non-operational and further calls went un-returned as did the email sent.

I don't know if I got a bad tool, but it was not very impressive at all. I also have a BTD144Z impact driver so I have something to compare it with. Side by side, the BTD144Z won by a landslide.
My BTD144Z only has 1,420 in.lbs (about 118 ft.lbs) of torque compared with this model BTW251Z which is supposed to deliver 170 ft.lbs. However, the BTW251Z would not easily remove my lugnuts which were freshly torqued to 80 ft.lbs, while my BTD144Z easily removed them. To do this test, I put a 1/4" to 1/2" adapter on my BTD144Z impact driver and then a 1/2 drive impact socket could be used on it. The BTW251Z will remove the lugnuts, but it takes about twice as long (or longer). I expected it to be the other way around where my BTD144Z should take longer because it has less torque ratings.
Next test I did was to see if the BTW251Z can remove lugnuts torqued to 150 ft.lbs (by the way, I always use my torque wrench to torque the lugnuts so I know exactly how tight they are). I didn't expect my BTD144Z to be able to do it because it only has 118 ft.lbs rating but the BTW251Z obviously should be able to do so. The results: the BTD144Z was STILL able to remove the 150 ft.lb torqued lugnut (that in itself was amazing given the said torque rating would make me assume it was not supposed to be able to handle it). The BTW251Z could also do it. The difference? The BTW251Z would have to hammer on the lugnut for a few seconds before the lugnut finally came off. My BTD144Z removed it maybe about half the time or better.
But again, I don't know if I simply got a defective tool and maybe others out there don't notice the same performance issue I found. I expected the BTW251Z to easily remove the nuts compared with my BTD144Z, but that just wasn't the case. The only thing I have to say is it's better to use an impact gun with the built-in 1/2 anvil rather than using the 1/4" to 1/2" adapter like I did on my BTD144Z because I can feel a lot more vibration on the BTD144Z as it pulls off the lugnuts. I don't think it's good for the tool's longevity. I will have to say, the BTW251Z has a more solid feel when removing lugnuts off as there is much less vibration, so I know the tool is better fit for such applications. Also, there is no complaints about the build quality as it feels and looks exceptional. However, I will probably stick to screws and lagbolts for the BTD144Z and find another solution for my lugnuts as this BTW251Z was no improvement to what I already have.
I wanted to try out my new tool the moment it arrived, so I pulled the battery out of my hammer-drill, slapped it in and tried to remove a lug nut (that was tightened by Sears tire dept using air tools.) As it hammered for several seconds I thought what the hell?
Then I replaced the battery with one fresh off the charger, tried again and bam, it was off the lug and spinning freely faster than I could think about it. I went all the way around the car and effortlessly took 2 nuts off of each tire.
The moral to the story is, battery matters! Just because the tool will still turn doesn't mean you'll get max torque. If it has difficulty with a fastener, replace the battery, it could change things substantially.
As for side-by-side tests against lesser-rated Makita impact tools, those can be considered valid *only* if the same battery was used in both tools, otherwise there is no way to know whether an equal amount of power was provided for each tool.
In short, this is a very impressive tool, it's small and light enough to use in a lot of places, and every bit as powerful as Makita claims, with a fresh battery.
I originally bought a Ryobi impact wrench since I had batteries for their one+ system, it's cheap ($100) and it has a higher torque rating. But the Ryobi does not function as well as this tool. I did a side by side and the Makita out performed it.

Bought this for tire changes and does a great job. Just for kicks I over tightened a lug nut with a breaker bar and it still broke it free with no problems.I originally bought a Ryobi impact wrench since I had batteries for their one+ system, it's cheap ($100) and it has a higher torque rating. But the Ryobi does not function as well as this tool. I did a side by side and the Makita out performed it.

I am extremely happy with this impact wrench. I searched for a while to find an impact wrench that is reliable and quality product and at the same time provides enough power to loosen the lug nuts. Most of the impact wrenches I found in the market are too heavy and run out of battery very quickly. However, this one holds the battery for a long time. Unlike most of Impact wrenches which are made in China, this impact wrench was made in JAPAN.
