I bought three of these, and took them on our Royal Ranger Powwow. I loaned to of them to other commanders so they could charge their phones. Each one of us got two full recharges from our units. When you are in primitive camping and have no electricity, this is the way to go. I've used mine twice now, both with equal results. This is a good product.

It is a lot smaller than I thought but that's not a bad thing. It seems very sturdy. The included cable didn't work with my Android smartphone but I finally found one that did. It took about 1/2 hour to charge 10%.

This is my second Wagan inverter and couldn't be happier with it. I installed the first one in what I thought was a water proof containment that I made. It's in the shop to be repaired. My fault. The new one is installed inside the motor home and is working great. Great product and great price from Amazon.com.

These are well-made and manufactured in USA!! There is not much to say about jumper cables, but some of the ones you see at automotive parts stores are pretty flimsy and the conductors look like they are significantly smaller than the gauge marked on the packages. These 6-gauge are suitable for cars with medium size batteries such as compacts or older models. For a new sophisticated car with lots of electronics and a big battery (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, etc.), I suggest 4-gauge cables instead.

These cables are a good value. They work well enough if you're attaching them to automotive battery terminals; however, the jaws don't close together far enough to bite onto motorcycle/powersports type terminals, which limits their versatility.

Best Deals for Coleman Cable 08566 6-Gauge Heavy-Duty Booster Cables (16 Feet)

After accidentally including my last set of jumper cables with the sale of my last car, I was in need of new ones!

These are long and heavy duty probably overkill for my 1.4L engine, but if you needed to jump a truck, they would be great. The whole assembly is well put together, with good, solid connections from the handles to the cables. They have worked great on a hybrid Highlander and Chrysler 300 (co-worker left the dome light on in the company car...).

If you don't have a lot of space though, skip this set since they are not small.

Honest reviews on Coleman Cable 08566 6-Gauge Heavy-Duty Booster Cables (16 Feet)

Mine just arrived. I pulled it out of the box and am concerned that the cable crimp looks weak. I expect eventually I will have to fix it if it gets used much. Other than that it looks like it will do the job.

I shopped around for a long time trying to find just the right power booster for my 30 gig video ipod. The less than 3 hour video use time of the ipod wasn't making it on long business trips which I take every week. I found this item on Amazon at a much lower price than anywhere else. It has met and exceeded all my expectations. Both video and audio lasts all day now. What a great buy this item was for me.....don't hesitate....this is what you have been looking for......excellent quality, lean, light and a bundle of extra power.

This product is, in my opinion, all that anyone could ever want in an iPod external battery. When I go on long trips via airplane, I can watch video the whole way across the U.S. with this. The iBoost also allows you to never remove your iPod from it again; you can charge and synchronize your iPod without removing it from the iBoost, just drop the whole package into the iPod Dock. My iPod Video 5.0G 30GB is held snugly by the retention arms and the foam spacer pad. The foam spacer pad is removable to fit larger iPods.

Best Deals for Nyko iBoost Battery Pack for iPod

The iboost package says it will add 7 hours for video. Mine added 4.5. The instructions say it will fully charge in 4.5 hours. Mine takes around 9. I called them. They said the charge time listed is not valid. Hmmm. They said the video time will vary. I ran the video as a test, and did not touch the ipod except to start the movie again. I should have the maximum time, shouldn't I? their answer is that times will vary. Hmmm.

I may return mine. Not sure. It is nice in that is fits well (on my 5G), is compact and rechargable. BUT keep in mind my figures above.

Honest reviews on Nyko iBoost Battery Pack for iPod

I often go on long trips and use my iPod not only for music but for watching movies. Before buying the iBoost I would always have to cut my viewing time short for fear of draining out my battery. Now with the iBoost, I can watch several movies and my iPod battery is still fully charged. The iBoost has allowed my to enjoy my iPod more than I already did. I recommend it for anyone who uses their iPod for watching movies/music videos. You'll appreciate the extra hours of viewing time you will gain using the iBoost.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Nyko iBoost Battery Pack for iPod

I got two of these for my 80 GB iPod video. I can charge the iBoost and sync my iPod at the same time or charge the iBoost independently. I'm pretty sure that I don't get the full 16 hours of extra audio and the 7 hours of advertised video, but I come pretty close to tripling the amount of iPodding that I can do between recharges which is perfect for vacations.

Nyko did an excellent job designing the device. You can use your iPod until until the battery is almost dead, then slide it into the iBoost. The iBoost adds a little bit to the size of the iPod when connected, but not so much so that it doesn't fit in my pocket. It does keep it from fitting in my armband, however. It adds just under an inch below the iPod where the battery is housed. Less than a quarter inch is added in thickness as well. So the statement on the packaging "So slim, so light. You won't know it's there" isn't exactly true; nevertheless, it is a good device.

It will not fit will for the smaller width iPods, but an attachment is included so that the thinner iPods (same width, but thinner) will fit well. As I have only been using the iBoost for a short period of time, I cannot speak to how well the lithium ion battery ages and continues to hold a charge.

Nevertheless, for the price and the utility of the device, I would strongly recommend anybody who ever has had to stop using his/her iPod because the battery died get one of these.

I installed the unit today and then took a ride on the expressway. I easily installed the unit in my new helmet and then paired it to my phone. I've tried several helmet speaker methods such as having regular phone earbuds in my ear. That works OK but the problem is keeping earbuds in my ear when I put the helmet on and the mic positioned near my mouth. At highway speeds the wind noise makes it difficult or impossible for the other party to hear. I tried a dedicated wired motorcycle helmet headset but the volume was too low to hear clearly at highway speeds and it was a hassle connecting the dangling wire from the helmet each time I got on and off the bike. Thus my purchase of the Sena bluetooth unit. I read many reviews of other units. Most had volume complaints or were double the price.

The volume on this unit is simply amazing!!! At 70 MPH on a phone call I can hear the other party very clear and loud. Believe it or not it actually hurt my ears and I had to turn the unit down. The same is true of music. How is the music quality? Good enough. It's not five star orchestra quality and there's not much bass but it sounds good and most importantly LOUD rolling along on a bike. The amp in the bluetooth unit actually drives the speakers to the edge of distortion but that's a good thing.

I believe one key is to make absolutely sure that you use the included pads to position the speakers where they press right up against your ear when you put the helmet on. Proximity probably makes a huge difference in sound volume. 1/4 to 1/2 inch away would probably reduce the volume in half which would make the system much less effective.

I have a Motorola Razr Maxx phone and the volume button on the unit does not affect the phone volume. Most bluetooth units work in conjunction with the phone volume. If you lower or raise the volume on the bluetooth unit, it correspondingly raises or lowers it on the phone. With this unit, volume controls seem to operate independently of each other therefore you need to turn the phone volume to max and adjust volume from the bluetooth unit. The unit is firmware upgradeable so perhaps that will be corrected in a future release but I am so thrilled with the performance of the unit that such a minor detail is insignificant.

There is a plus to this arrangement in that music playback and phone conversation volumes are independently maintained. In other words, if you set the volume on a phone conversation and then switch to music and set a different volume the unit will remember the phone and music volume independently. So I guess it's designed to work independently of your phone volume and as I thought about it, that's probably a better arrangement. Your helmet system would always be set to motorcycle preferences regardless of what level you set your phone.

I haven't tested the intercom features and performance. My wife is terrified of my motorcycle therefore I usually ride alone so I don't need the intercom feature but it's there if I ever do need it.

Pros:

1. Volume is FANTASTIC and you can hear phone conversations or music clearly at 80% volume at 70mph.

2. The person on the other end hears virtually no mic wind noise at 70mph. They couldn't believe that I was on a motorcycle at 70mph. They heard NO wind noise which was hard for me to believe but I was talking to my mother so I knew she was telling me the truth. Of course I had on a full face helmet with the visor down.

3. Unit can operate while charging. The battery life talk time is rated at 12 hours with a standby time of 10 days. I haven't tested that yet but if it truly lasts 12 hours and you do happen to talk longer than 12 hours at a stretch you can plug up the unit and talk while charging. I've never ridden more than a few hours in a day so a 12 hour talk time before recharging is NOT going to be problem for me. I'm going to poop out long before the bluetooth battery. Talking while charging is something that most bluetooth units can't do.

4. Volume control button is big. On a motorcycle with gloves the button is easy to find, turn or push.

5. It looks cool on your helmet with the blue blinking light.

6. Good price. I bought the H10 instead of the H5 since the price difference was not that much and it appears the H10 comes with better speakers. I'm not sure about that as I couldn't fully tell from the descriptions but it read like the H10 had better speakers than the H5. The upgrade speakers cost the difference between the two units but the H10 does more. It's about a $25 street price difference between the H10 and the H5.

7. Uses a standard micro USB port for charging.

8. Has a standard 1/8" port to plug a wired music player.

9. Ports covered by rubber plugs for weatherproofing.

10. Easy to remove from the helmet if necessary.

Cons: NONE that I've found so far.

I installed it in this helmet:Bluetooth Ready Modular Flip-up Motorcycle Helmet Matte Flat Black DOT #936 (XL)

I am just as impressed by the helmet as I am the bluetooth unit. I can't believe the quality of this helmet for the price. I've got five helmets. This is the cheapest one and it seems to rank right up there with the quality of the very expensive helmets if not better. It has perforations in the helmet liner for the speakers so it works perfectly with the Sena bluetooth unit.

Click Here For Most Helpful Customer Reviews >>

The installation of the headset will definitely get you familiar with the inner workings of your helmet, but once done, it is indispensable. The jog wheel and phone button are easy to manipulate at speed with gloves on, and the controls make sense. The speakers are decent, obviously not as high-quality sound as ear buds, but the trade off of ease-of-use is worth it. I used all three functions, music, phone, and intercom the first time out. The intercom range is as advertised, unless there is a mountain between you and the other unit.

The only issue I have had is the amount of force required to snap the unit in and out of the base. This may vary depending on your helmet. A friend had the same unit and had trouble getting the unit to stay clipped in at all. I saw it go bouncing down the road at highway speed. We stopped and picked up the pieces and put it back together and it still worked, despite some road rash, but Sena sent him a whole new setup anyway.

Best Deals for Sena SMH10-10 Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset/Intercom

I originally bought this back in September. It didn't work properly (it would receive sound just fine but not send anything no one could hear me at all). After trying to work things out through Sena's support area we determined that it was a bad unit. No harm, no foul Amazon accepted the return and sent me a new one.

I received the new one in October and tried it out it worked perfectly. I only used it twice before putting the bike away for the winter. I took the bike out again last week and went to use it today only to find that it no longer works. During the winter, I charged it occasionally and it has never been dropped, etc. The light still comes on when you charge it (it changes from red to blue when it's charged) but it won't turn on. They (Sena) has a software program that you can install that keeps the unit up to date that won't connect either.

I have sent Sena an email describing the problem and am hoping for a resolution (they were actually quite responsive when I had the original issue) but honestly I can't in good conscience recommend a device that has failed on me twice (two separate ones neither worked properly).

This is quite upsetting as well because I also just purchased a CanAm Spyder and Sena is now making their official headsets and they are the SMH10. I really WANT to like them and purchase another one for my wife so we can talk when we're riding but unless support can do something to REALLY make me happy that won't be happening.

So, bottom line, the two times that it worked, it worked well and sounded great but I should be getting far more than two usages out of two different devices.

Honest reviews on Sena SMH10-10 Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset/Intercom

I have used my Sena unit for almost 1 year now. It is a really good product. It was recently upgraded to firmware V4.1. The talk time is an honest 12 hours. I was recently on my bike for over 12 hours and we talked the entire ride. Its great to know what might be up ahead like a sharp curve, debris in road, ect. The bluetooth works great and it is very easy to make or receive a phone call. The sound quality of the speakers is average. Music sounds better with ear plugs in. With the version 4.1 firmware it is possible to talk among 4 riders at the same time. We also found a way to add a fifth rider, so 5 riders could talk at the same time. With the older firmware 3.0 you could only talk to one rider at a time. The units are resistant to rain and work in the rain. Overall I am very happy with the unit.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Sena SMH10-10 Motorcycle Bluetooth Headset/Intercom

We purchased this unit and use them with half helmets, I purchased a shield to go on my helmet, to help with the wind, but wind noise was a issue, works great, with the phone, hardwired to my ipod, and the ability to communicate back and forth is wonderful, to fix the wind problem my husband purchased a 3/4 helmet, was still in the back, and also purchased the foam cover from the harley davidson store, at speeds up to 55 was great with very low noise, which in turn we returned the 3/4 helmet, and are purchasing more covers (they are much thicker, etc than the ones that came with the sena) So get to a harley store if you use a half helmet, other than that, we really enjoy this unit, and thank GOD, for something as this to be able to talk back and forth, and answering a phone call is extremely easy, we've not used it to talk to other riders yet, but will probably happen come spring.

I worked in the telecom industry portion that has, among other things, hand-held radios. I know how they work; I know the physics behind each segment of the radio spectrum; I know the technologies, etc., etc.

That said, I could never give any of these kinds of "FRS/GMRS" two-way radios a five-star rating. None of them deserve it, nor, given the limitations placed on this radio type by the F.C.C., could any of them deserve a rating better than "mediocre", or "average". That is the limitation of this kind of power in this part of the spectrum. And it is true for any of these radios, regardless of what brand name is on them, although for quality, surely Motorola is the best of their type.

THIRTY-FIVE MILES? Ha! Maybe, just maybe, in a total vacuum, at a temperature of absolute-zero, you could get one of these radios to communicate 35 miles, but not anywhere on this planet that I can think of. Be realistic and you'll be satisfied. But if you expect 35 miles of range, or even 20% of that, you WILL be disappointed. I bought a pair of these radios, and I am as satisfied as I can be. They are good for what they are, at the price you pay.

But, if all you really need is a radio that CAN communicate for a distance not to exceed, say, two miles, then these radios are certainly the best of their kind I've ever seen. So, take them for what they are worth, and believe me, these Motorolas are hands-down the best of their kind. But none of these radios lives up to their advertising, and never will. It is simply not possible at the rated power in the alloted portion of the radio spectrum.

The newest, most exciting feature is the GMRS repeater operation. A repeater is a special base station that simultaneously receives and retransmits a signal from a mobile or portable station to extend the range. As a communications back-up it can fill the void.(GMRS FCC License Required) The current license fee is 85.00.

During disasters such as the Oklahoma City Bombing, Hurricane Katrina and the September 11th attacks and countless other emergency situations, what is one of the first things to go down? Communications. Cell phones are useless, and landline infrastructure/internet is the next to go. FRS,GMRS in the simplex mode (radio to radio) are a unobstructed line of sight communication device. I do take issue with the 35 mile claim on many of these simplex units. It won't happen unless both communicators are "HIGH ON SEPARATE MOUNTAIN TOPS" As previously mentioned, the GMRS Repeater operation will extend your range to acceptable distances.

Many areas around the country have privately owned GMRS Repeaters. A repeater directory may be found on this web site:

If you are looking for a walkie-talkie like I had in the 70s for short range communications (FRS) then save your money and purchase one of the 29.00 units.

Best Deals for Motorola MR355R 35-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio

I purchased these radios after extensive research discovering they are the best 2 way consumer radio motorola makes. once they arrived i charged them fully and followed the instructions to the T. Tested them in the country with nothing in the way of the 2 radios and they didnt make it past 4 miles. in the small little town i live in of 150 people, the radios managed to cut out after 3 blocks and no more communication. also the operating temps of these radios are insane. 20 degrees F and they shut down and refuse to transmit. i was using the hi power channel transmitting at 2 watts as well as the hi power ptt button. called motorola and they told me that they dont make them even. come to find out they hired a company giant international to build them. motorola only builds their business class radios is what they told me. i returned the items to amazon as they did no good. i mentioned that i would at least want to get 1 mile out of a 35 mile radio. guess not. im now trying out the much better looking midland gtx1000vp4 with a transmit power that ranges up to 5 watts! hoping to have better luck with midland. take my advice and dont waste your time with these supposed top of the line latest motorola radios.. they are more than a joke. i purchased a pair of cheap $20 midlands for kids to use in the woods and they worked better...in colder weather (by the way midland operates in -22F).

Honest reviews on Motorola MR355R 35-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio

I bought three pairs to keep in touch with my kids and other family on our ski trip. Suffice it to say that when these radios got cold they simply did not work. I could hear the others (using other models) but could not transmit. Useless in my opinion. FYI it was below 30 deg F where these were used. I also had pair of Midlands and they worked fine all the time but could not get the Midlands to talk with these Motorolas even on the same channel/sub with Motorola Qt disabled. All of this resulted in a very frustrating experience.

Otherwise, the Motorolas have good volume and clarity but to me reliability is everything. Range seemed to be about as good as the Midlands I was using (GXT1000VP4.

Lastly, the included earpiece and corded mic was tough to use as Motorola put the mic right next to the button, so care had to be taken when pushing the transmit button to not cover the mic.

I will be returning these and looking for another solution.

Find helpful customer reviews and review ratings for Motorola MR355R 35-Mile Range 22-Channel FRS/GMRS Two-Way Radio

I researched these radios on multiple sites and was surprised by the wide range of opinions. The biggest criticism seemed to be lack of range. The other hunters on the deer lease used various Motorola radios with satisfactory results and for ease of communicating with them I decided to purchase them through Amazon. We hunt in central Texas on an approximately 5000 acre ranch, with mixed terrain (woods, fields, flat and hills). These radios seemed to be more than adequate when communicating with the other hunters. The rechargeable batteries seemed to provide more than enough stand-by time and the ability to supplement them with standard batteries is a plus. The only reason that I didn't give them five stars is the short period of use. While I may find other issues over time and with more severe service, these radios had good range in the field.

I purchased two of these from another vendor. They produced only 4.9 volts instead of the nominal 5.0 volts for USB devices. It would not charge a blackberry torch smart phone (got an error message) yet another charger did work (my other chargers put out 5.1 volts). The Mili 4.9 volts did charge another phone, however, the charge did not seem to last as long. It might work fine on some devices but be warned.

As it stands there's another review for this battery posted by someone who never bought it, never installed it and never actually bothered to ask the seller or manufacturer of the dimensions. Whilst I normally don't comment on other amazon.com reviewers' I thought it prudent to state that the aforementioned reviewer's points are completely false wrong even.

Firstly this is THE brand to get if you have a Yamaha, Kawasaki, Suzuki et al. We're not just talking motorcycles as it's the same battery you use in your jet ski, skidoo, quad bike etc.

Secondly this is the same size as every other generic motorcycle battery; it's not car battery size. It slotted into my Yamaha Road Star Silverado without problem.

Finally it's not a gel battery this is important as it comes with acid you have to pour into the battery and thus it's not going to be pre-charged. If you've never added acid into a battery it's supremely easy, just use the supplied charger and turn it upside down and ram it into the top of the battery. Let it drain for 20 minutes then cap it off using the same plastic strip you took off the charger. Finally trickle charge your battery for at least two hours. Done.

If all this is scary trust me it's not all instructions are included and all it's a perfectly normal procedure. Once it's done your battery is maintenance-free.

If you need a YTX20HL-BS battery then you need look no further there's no other version of the YTX20HL-BS that's a different size or spec. This is what you need.

After 4+ years of service I felt like my OEM Yuasa battery should be replaced. The original battery still cranked the unit, but because my 700 Grizzly does not have a pull start I decided to replace it anyway fearing it might let me down miles from my hunting camp. I replaced it with one of the new high performance Yuasa Batteries and you can really tell the difference in starting amps. My engine turns over much faster and starts right up. This will save wear and tear on my starter and gives piece of mind that I won't be let down hunting alone miles from camp. The Yuasa batteries are shipped dry and you put the acid in them. Don't be afraid of this. Yuasa has a bullet proof system to keep from spilling acid and an easy way to seal the battery afterward. My previous ATV had an OEM Yuasa battery and it went 5+ years and when I sold it it was still fine. I never use a trickle charger it just cranks when you push the button. Some of the other guys in my hunting club buy the cheaper batteries from big box stores and they only last 2 years. I highly recommend the Yuasa batteries for trouble free long service. Amazon had the best price I could find on Yuasa batteries.

I'm a firm believer Yuasa batteries, especially their maintenance free is one of the best on the market. The one I replaced in my ATV only lasted 10 years (6 years in m/c) and best of all they are made here in the U.S.of A. and you can't find a better place to order from than amazon.com

I replaced an OEM YTX-20 -the same battery without the higher capacity.

It's a great battery and indeed does seem to handle my higher-than-normal load better than the original.

The itrip mini does what it advertizes: fits the sleek lines of the mini ipod without adding much bulk at all, and transmits your tunes to a radio tuned to frequency (defaults to 87.9, but you can adjust that by installing the simple software provided with the itrip).

Living in LA, there are VERY limited options insofar as stations not in use. 87.9 is actually one of the few options. The sound quality was awful. I tried using this device in my car, in my room, in my home stereo all with the same lousy results.

I should have listened to the advice of the salesperson at the Apple store and gotten the cassette device to play my ipod music on other sound systems.

Bottomline: it works, but sounds like music playing on a radio station that doesn't quite come in clearly static. Poor volume, and very poor sound quality.

Having gone through several iterations, I have found that the iTrip mini is simply and clearly the superior method (for me) to listen to my iPod mini over my car's radio. In my mind, this is a must have accessory for your iPod Mini.

Let me start with my setup: I have an XM Radio setup and the iPod mini in my VW Jetta. Cup holders are located just above the radio location in the Jetta and both the XM and the iPod sit in their respective Belkin Tunedocks which are seated in the cup holders.

Initially, I used a Belkin Tunecast to broadcast the iPod signal to the radio. It was fairly miserable at accomplishing this task. Actually, it was awful and could not even overcome weak signals from adjacent stations. Plus, the battery life was not very good and the little power cord kept getting disconnected. Enter the cassette solution which I used with a y-adaptor to hook in both my XM SkyFi and iPod. This worked well but I had cords everywhere and it was a bit annoying but the sound quality was a ridiculously big improvement. Then I got the XM MyFi for Christmas which has an internal FM transmitter so I figured I would go completely wireless and picked up the iTrip Mini.

For me, the iTrip has been flawless is the sound quality amazing? No. However, the volume out level is good (don't crank up the iPod volume all the way you don't need to and it overmodulates and distorts the sound if you do) and I don't get static or fading or any problems like that. I have never had to add in the other stations I always keep it on 87.9. I have heard that other stations in the middle of the FM band might provide better quality, but I'm playing this over a Jetta's factory radio so I figure the incremental benefit is probably not there.

I should add, as you may well note, that I am in Dallas and yes we have a crowded FM band there is no frequency that does not have a strong signal on an adjacent frequency yet I have no problems. I think that finding a solid location in your vehicle relative to the radio head unit or the antenna is vital mine is always fairly proximate to the head unit. Moving it some distance say to the passenger seat has a deleterious effect on the quality and interference although it is still quite useable.

I would also note that the transmitter is far superior not only to the Belkin that I previously used, but also to the one in my XM MyFi. With the MyFi, it is not unusual for me to deal with persistent interference that requires me to go channel hopping.

I'd also like to say a word about the form factor it fits perfectly atop the iPod and is, in that regard, highly portable. If you want to listen to or share some tunes in a friend's car or at their house, you need only bring your iPod with the iTrip on top and you are ready to go no additional cords or plugging into outlets, etc. it is the easiest, most elegant solution. Granted, the iTrip uses the iPod's battery for power, so it does have an effect on that regard but the portable nature far exceeds the convenience in any of the power cord/broadcast combos available.

Looked at a couple of options for using the iPod in the car. Like the fact that there are no extra wires, just pop the iTrip on top of the mini and you're good to go. Very handy for us with two cars; can use our iPods without carting wires/plugs/etc between cars. The iTrip just uses the iPod's battery. Total run time seems about half down to 3 or 4 hours.

Start up is amazingly easy, just unbox and attach to your mini, tune your radio to the default 87.9, and that's it. There's software included that interfaces through iTunes that lets you tune to different frequencies and also turn off the LED (to save power), but we haven't needed it since the default frequency is empty.

Also make sure to keep the volume in the range that Belkin suggests; over 70-80 percent of your iPod's volume and your tunes start to distort; so turn up the volume on your car stereo, not on your iPod. 80% is about the same loudness as typical radio broadcasts, so when you switch between your iPod and other stations, you won't get blasted out.

I really, really wanted to like this product. I read all the reviews before buying and thought I'd take my chances despite numerous complaints about static and interference in metropolitan areas. But my experience has been just the same.

I downloaded the frequency finder and tried every station recommended for the NYC area. Still, the sound quality was mediocre at best no where NEAR the fidelity of a normal FM station.

Went out yesterday and bought an RCA "Y" adapter and now use that instead.

I have a lot of "windshield time" and one of the main reasons I purchased an iPod was to use for books I download from Audible.com (I was tired of burning 10-20 CD's per book), as well as giving me the capability to download music from iTunes. No, it doesn't sound like my Infinity speakers at home, but (1) I didn't expect it to, and (2) the sound quality is surprisingly very good for the most part with both books and music. There is only one city that I travel to/through where I get a little interference with the FM setting at 87.9, but 90% of the time it is not a problem. The Griffin iTrip Mini does a terrific job for a superb price and I highly recommend it.
