I bought this charger to charge my Motorola triumph, and decided to take a chance on this one. The price for this is amazing! You get (2) 1600 Mah batteries, and a universal charger that has inputs for mini USB,and a standard USB. This is nice because I can charge my battery from a computer. The charger it's self is well constructed, and I am amazed at how such a great quality product can be sold at such an amazing price! The company who sells these did an amazing job sending it to me, it came 10 days early! The foldable mini speakers have a pretty fair sound quality, and the rest of the components seem to be working fairly well. The only concern I have had is that a prong on the wall charger came right off...fortunately not in the wall socket. The ear buds are not as high quality as those which came from Sony, but are still servicable.

Hello All,

I purchase this scanner as a replacement for my BC200, which died after many many years of faithful service. I did a LOT of research online before I purchased this unit and when all was said and done, this scanner had what I was looking for at a price that was not hard to swallow. I read some of the reviews here and was a bit leery about being able to understand how to program the scanner BUT I can say quite confidently that IT IS NOT A BIG DEAL FOLKS! If you EVER owned a Bearcat scanner then programming, this unit will be old hat to you. This scanner still requires the old "hold-channel numberfunction-program-enter frequency-enter" key chain to program each channel. SURE, this may seem like a lot but for those of us using Bearcat Scanners this is the way it has been forever.

Now onto the features, I love the fact that you have all the frequencies already pre-programmed into the unit AND, the service band search is nice BUT why did Bearcat have to make it SO HARD to enter the search mode. My old BC200 had a button marked SEARCH that you pushed to start searching. My question to Uniden is why did you ELIMINATE the SEARCH BUTTON? In addition, some of the buttons perform multiple functions depending on which function of the function button your enter. (Are you confused yet?)

If Uniden is reading this, perhaps you could send me one of your scanners PRIOR to market for review. This would accomplish two things. One , it would give someone that has been a loyal Uniden / Bearcat fan for years a chance to see just how USER FRIENDLY your new product is, and second it would give you a chance to make corrections before market launch and avoid some negative feedback and drive higher sales.

Ok, enough said. If you are looking for a nice little scanner with a lot of bang for the buck, then I think you will be happy with the BC92XLT and all the features it provides. If on the other hand, you want a scanner that you can program and run while drunk off your butt and half brain dead, then this is not the scanner for you. My best advice to you is this, download and READ the instruction manual PRIOR to purchase and make your mind up for yourself.

I actually purchased the Radio Shack relabelled version of this exact radio for $80. I have also seen it go down as low as $60. I was stunned how much you can do for so little money. I already have a larger pricier scanner, but wanted this one for it's size. It's probably 60% the size of a normal scanner. This scanner does NOT do analog or digital trunking, but I did not need it for my application. The small stubby antenna seems to do the job, but performance will vary wherever you are. Prepare to buy a different antenna if things don't work out. For me, it did not do a great job in scanning unknown frequencies, but that is maybe due to the size of the antenna and where I am. But I went to the internet to find frequencies and programmed them in. Worked like a champ. I will agree with the previous reviewer, this is not user friendly by a long shot. You need to keep the instructions near you at all times. I have used both Uniden and GRE scanners, and I do not think I have come across any user friendly scanner! Maybe there's one out there, but don't hold your breath.

My previous scanner experience is limited to preprogrammed scanner use only...even then not much.

Bought to use at NASCAR tracks this year. While I'll play with the "Close Capture" feature (allows it to automatically tune in to active nearby frequencies) at the track, it took less than 30 minutes to program all the primary car, Nascar and broadcast frequencies into the scanner. (130 frequencies)

The "Service Scan" feature is also very easy to use; allowing you to quickly scan through Police, Fire, Air, or Marine frequencies.

Pros: Lightweight, large memory, relatively easy to use.

Cons: It does take a few minutes to become familiar with the button combinations required to activate the functions. It is not intuitive , but becomes easier to use with minimal practice.

I found this scanner easy to use. I was capturing police calls in my area within 15 minutes of turning it on. The service search feature is super since you don't have to program the channels. Just search the POLICE band and when you get a call push a couple buttons and this frequency is now in scanner memory. Heck, I have been listening in search mode and catching alot of action all around DFW. Of course once you find and store all the channels you can enter scan mode which is faster and you wont miss any action. I am a novice scanner user and recommend this product.

Great radio. I take it to work and listen to it all day. Programs and runs the same as all uniden radios. You do need to read the instructions. For an experienced radio hound it is no trouble. For the beginner it has preprogrammed searches to get them started quickly. Great size and is well built. I currently own an 898T also and the sensitivity to signals are the same for both. This is the fifth Bearcat I have owned and it has not let me down!!!

UPDATE: The device was faulty. The manufacturer sent a new one and it works just fine.

I hope for Orion Gadget's sake that this is a bad example.

The dock will not charge in any configuration, whether connected to the PC or not.

It actually will instantly drain the battery to 20%. And the Weather bug application will freeze and not come back. It has been 3 days and many restarts. Even removing the battery will not bring back the Weather bug app.

I hope this dock has not done permanent damage to my droid

This is one of those you get what you pay for things. This did not last more than a month before it just died. I would not say it got a whole lot of use in that month either. I should have contacted the company, but did not bother because I did not pay much for it at all. I can't say whether or not they would have done anything, but I would not purchase this product again. My husband only used it a few times to charge his phone on his way to and from work which is only about 10 miles away. It did put on a surprisingly high amount of charge in that little time and the retractable feature was nice, but it just did not last long enough for me to give it more than one star.

Item ordered was received in a timely manner. Ordered for myself, gave to son for Christmas. With all the "stuff" he already plugs in, this is a wonderful way to get a little neatness. Unit fits snugly into phone and is easier to store when not in use as the cord is completely retractable. In a small pickup, it doesn't take long to have "spaghetti strings" for accessories, and this certainly is a convenient addition.

After buying a Rocketfish car charger at Best Buy for my Samsung Epic 4G phone and learning the charger didn't deliver enough current (600ma) to trigger a change in the battery status to a charging mode, I returned that $22 charger and bought this one on the hopes it would work. Well, same issue...it didn't. There are no markings on the charger to indicate it's current rating, and I think one rated at least 750ma (same as the a/c indoor charger) is needed. I've been using a single USB port/car charger plug rated at 1A with USB/microUSB cable and that has worked fine with the Samsung Epic 4G, but I liked the idea of this retractable cord style of charger. Too bad it's useless. The cord was a bit short for my preferred way of using it in the car with a glove box power socket, but it was usable.

the service was great, however, the product leaves a lot to be desired. supposedly, there is a retractable cord. The first one that arrived, the cord did not retract; notified the company and they sent a new one. The cord on the second one did not retract. So, I just use the car charger with the cord hanging down...it works fine. The company was very good about replacing the original.

The title of the review says it all. The only part that feels flimsy is the cord itself since it is super thin (likely for easy retraction) but the retraction mechanism works great and the charger works as expected.

I am very displeased in the performance of the GTMax Metallic Silver 2-Port USB Car Charger Adapter. I only used it a few times, and the last time I plugged it in, it did not work. It did not even show a power light. It had a burnt smell the last time I used it when it worked, and that time was when it died, I believe. This is such a great product, I bought two of them. Very inexpensive and our friend bought one and paid loads more for it. This is a great product. The cable seems very well made. The end caps fit snugly, the connections to the charger and other cables are snug and secure, and the cord itself seems durable (this is just my impression I've only had it for a short while) and the length is terrific. I'm using it to get to a vehicle on the far side of the garage where there isn't an outlet. I would certainly also use it to charge / maintain a battery in a vehicle outside of the garage. It's long enough to do that and still keep the charger itself dry inside.

Another great feature is that it works with Battery Tender brand charges as well. At least I think it does. I use it between my Schumacher charger / maintainer (bought from Tractor Supply Co.) and the Battery Tender 081-0069-6 Ring Terminal Harness with Black Fused 2-Pin Quick Disconnect Plug attached to my battery. Different company, but the plugs are the same. So, since it works with the other company's plugs, it seems it should oughta work with the other chargers. Nifty.

No complaints so far, and if it holds up like I expect it to it's earned a 5-star rating.

I bought this jumper battery because my car was stuck in the garage, and I couldn' jump it with another car.

Even though it said to charge it for 36 hours after purchase, I used it anyway right out of the box, and it started my car twice.

I like the fact that you just leave this thing plugged in all the time and it knows how to keep the charge on the unit, and, as it claims, "intelligently charge" as the label said the algorithm is smart enough not to overcharge.

The LED flashlight isn't very powerful, but guess what, in a pinch this light would probably last for days if not weeks on that huge battery.

The compressor was a real bonus. I used it right away. It is very convenient to check your tires, sine the unit is not tethered to an electrical outlet. It took about a minute and a half for my tire to go from 25 lbs to 35 lbs. And after I did 5 tires, it quit on me and the tubing got hot. I read the instructions and noticed that compressing sucks a lot of power from the battery, and that you shouldn't use the compressor for more than 10 minutes at a time. So I had to wait half an hour for the unit to cool off, and then pumped the other 3 tires on my other car. This thing makes it VERY convenient to pump/check your tires. The built in pressure gauge needs to be angled upwards a little bit to be more user friendly, bc I had to keep tilting the unit to be able to see the pressure value while it was sitting on the ground. The compressor is something I'll be using quite a bit. The jump start feature is nice for emergencies and road trips, and the 12V cigarrete socket and USB socket means this thing can be used as a general purpose battery. It's the biggest battery I have in the house, so it's nice to have it.

using the air compressor does not deplete the battery. Still plenty of juice for a jump! Great

I bought it for several reasons, I won't go in details but one reason is that I constantly left the lights on in the car. So I have it in my truck all the time.

It is a bit heavy, but I don't mind.

With all the features is a great addition to my tool set.

During the first few day a plastic cleat (to hold the air hose) broke. I wrote to Schumacher and they sent me new ones with no fuss, so I can say that their support is good so far.

And I really like to have a portable power source!!
