NO overcharge protection

Its hard to tell from the picture but this charger only has a single charge port; the power wheels cars use two 6V batteries so it takes 36 hours to charge both batteries... really? You have no idea if its fully charged or charging at all since there is no indicator charging status light; it will charge it for infinity which will ruin the battery after a while. What would charging circuitry cost, like $0.50 to implement? fail.

I ordered this mostly for the usb to Vita charger, as this was by far cheaper than the official model. I can safely say that the cable works fine, and as a bonus I have a car charger to plug my phone and vita into. Easy choice if you need a usb connector for your vita.

I was surprised that this product actually works and works great.The home charger allows u to charge and play at the same time, the USB hookup dont. I use my sansa at work and it was a hassle to bring it into the house and charge it almost every night. Now I just leave it hooked up to the car charger and its charging on the way to and from work. I especially luv the home charger, its multi-voltage and will work at my island home in the Philippines. But how can they sell it for under 3 bucks? it cost more to ship it. The review refused to permit no star; otherwise that is what I would have given it. Unfortunately the recharger dock connector cable simply will not plug into my Sandisk e280R. Since no instructions came with the recharger I must assume that either the "R" extension on the e280R makes it incompatible with the recharger or else both of the rechargers are defective. The advertising did not indicate any difference between e280 series and e280R. It would cost more time and effort to return than it would be worth.

It was a while before I used this product. I generally keep the MP3 charged. HOWEVER...I have an off he grid camp where everything is rechargable so there are lots of "AA" rechargable batteries with adapters to "C" and "D". BUT there wasn't anything I could do to vastly extend the play time on the MP3. Well there is now! Just as the music stopped I thought, "Well, back to the CDs and cassettes". I bought it to use a Swedish lamp in the US. It reliably does exactly what it is supposed to: transform voltage. The construction seems sturdy and of high quality, and it looks pretty nice too (for beeing a voltage converter). Highly recommended.

I bought one of these transformers to take with me on a year-long fellowship in Switzerland. I thought it would be fine because it was able to convert 110V to 220V-240V (Switzerland is 230V). When it arrived in the mail, it smelled like gasoline. I called Amazon and requested a replacement, which they sent out immediately (love Amazon!). When I got the second in the mail, it smelled the same, so I decided to take a chance and just take both of them with me. I should have trusted my instincts!

When I got to Switzerland, I found out that the plug did not fit Swiss outlets, so I finally found a plug that would adapt a European plug to a Swiss plug. I charged a phone on it, and it worked no problem. I took that to mean that it would work for my motorized wheelchair, the ONLY reason I went for a heavy duty transformer instead of a simple converter--it should have been able to handle a continuous load over several hours, as advertised. So, that night, I plugged in my wheelchair before I went to bed. When I woke up in the morning, I discovered that I had blown the circuit in my room--not a big deal. I called for help and got ready for the day while I waited. In the process, I used my second transformer to try and dry my hair in another room. A big puff of thick black smoke rose out of the box, and that transformer died. This was totally my fault because I should have realized the wattage was too great for it to handle. However, once security helped me turn the power back on in my room, I realized that the transformer I plugged my wheelchair into was also dead.

I did the calculations 5 times to check the wattage of my batteries and made sure that I bought a transformer that could handle twice the wattage of my wheelchair. The transformer should have worked!! Now, I am stuck and am thinking about buying a Swiss wheelchair (super expensive) just so that I can get around on my own. This is a really bad situation, and I wish I had listened to my gut instinct! If you really need a heavy-duty transformer, DO NOT BUY THIS!!!!

P.s. I bought a Swiss hair dryer rated at 2000W, and it works, so I know that it was the transformer that broke the circuit and not my wheelchair.

I found the Power Bright VC2000w Voltage Transformer to be just what I needed. We moved from the Philippines and had several appliances that needed 220 volt power in the United States. While the transformer is fairly large and a bit heavy, it is not noisey. I have had no problem with it using it every morning for boiling hot water with my Korean water heater which boils water in less than 1 minute. The product was reasonably priced and we are happy with it.

It is 2000W and my device is using 1000W (load). The transformer is cold after using for about 1 hours (good sign). I do not notice any bad part of it, it works what it should be. It has hum noise some times, overall it is good. Daily use, it has been using for more than two month long, no problem.

I purchased this to use along with my USA bought LED TV back home in India where the voltage level is 240.

Pros: Has multiple input selections, and 2 output levels ( 220 and 110), so this is a very generic converter

USB charging works

RMS voltage (as measured by a multimeter) is pretty close to what it should be.

Cons: There is a big banging sound when the unit is energized, guess its normal with any transformer based converters

Somewhere the earthing is not correct. if you put a tester into the earth, it glows.This shows that somewhere there is current leakage. I checked the ground to output phase voltage, that is zero whereas my mains ground to phase voltage is nearly equal to the neutral to phase voltage.

if you connect your sensitive electronics items like LED TV or home theater receiver with improper earthing, it will be damaged very soon.

I bought 3 pieces of this type with different wattages, and all of these have the same problem. so I believe this is not a individual unit problem.

Verdict: if you are buying this for appliances like mixer grinder or heater, you can still use it, but not for sensitive and costly electronics.

On a side note, I bought 1 powerbright and 2 goldsource units, but they look very similar in construction/user manuals/packaging etc. I guess its the same unit but branded differently.

Ive seen these things go through years of systematic abuse. Dragged on pavement, slammed, dropped endless times on concrete, and fiercely cussed because they simply ran out of grease. I saw a fellow smash his toe, and out of pure rage, he went completely insane and threw one of these things into a solid block wall not 4 feet away. It survived, having already suffered at least 3 years of abuse by numerous other people. The plastic part surrounding the motor is vulnerable, i have seen them break. I finally bought one. I have no regrets or complaints. Nothing cheap looking, sounding, or acting about them. Very nice set in a rugged, attractive carrying case. Nothing you would want to put in your wife's stocking or buy your girlfriend on her birthday, but definitely a nice addition in the guys garage. These are exceptional grease guns and I do recomment one. I dont know much about the other brands but if its not a Lincoln, then I just don't care.

This is the second Lincoln PowerLuber I've owned. The first went along with the rest of my construction equipment when I sold my excavation business. I have a couple of tractors and hated having to hold the grease tip on the fitting with one hand while trying to pump the handle with the other. Not a problem now. Also, in cold weather, or with stubborn fittings, the gun puts out more pressure than lever or hand pump guns. I recommend it. The 12 volt unit works fine for residential or small farm use. The 18 volt is best if you own more than a couple of pieces of equipment.

Powerlet is great generally. This particular adapter is a backup to my usual battery charger connector which likes to blow fuses. I keep it in my tour pak. The one thing that I don't like is that you HAVE to use powerlet adapters. But I also bought a powerlet that converts powerlet to a standard receptacle. But the receptacle is bullet proof.
