I was buying a Blue Tooth headset when I saw this from the same seller, CCMACCESSORIES ...for $4.00! It came in what looked to be OEM packaging and so far works OK, no excessive heat build up or extra charging time when in use...it works perfect. The pin connector on the phone fits fine and the cigarette end fits good as well....no forcing of any connections at all, which can be an indicator of a knock-off product. I bought a Data cable from these folks as well for the same price, it was packaged the same and works perfect too (buy that item, it is really a great option to simplify working on your cell phone 'Contacts' list instead of pushing the little buttons on the phone!) I don't know what the deal is here, at the AT&T store these items are $30 $35 and online they are a fraction of the cost.

I had to use a Samsung SGH-A167 phone for a while. I needed a car adapter and bought the Duracell DU5211, which is this model without the wall adapter. (The SGH-A167 was offered as an AT&T GoPhone prepaid phone.)

This unit includes a universal cable and three tips which I assume fit various Samsung models. I only used one.

It works OK and charges promptly. No problems there. The cigarette lighter adapter has a small green LED so you know it is connected.

The only issue so far is that the tip does not quite correctly fit the Samsung SGH-A167 plug...it sticks out slightly. I think the edge could be trimmed easily with a Dremel tool, file, or sandpaper if one was careful.

No other issues. No outstanding features, but it worked as advertised. Four stars.

The product itself is fantastic, unfortunately the one I ordered was missing a part but my payment was promptly refunded to me. If there were additional ones available at the time of the return I would not have hesitated to order replacement. I did find the product elswhere howver and it is a fantastic univeral charging solution. In addition to having the tip that I needed, it also had a mini USB tip. So basically this charger will work from car, home, and USB port, and because of the extra tips fitting other needs of mine, it replaces chargers for my tablet (primanry reason I bought it), my cell phone, and my GPS.

I love the charger. It's lasted me a while now and it's super convenient. I can use any USB cable in the car or at home. But, beware on the the cable. It doesn't sync for one, which is a total bummer. Then, after only about 4 months it stopped working. While this is a great charger, make sure you have a good iPod/iPhone cable because this does not include a quality one.

I bought one of these on the road when I forgot my charger. It stood up to 3 years of abuse but finally kicked the bucket. Bought this one as a replacement. They have really improved the design. It has a slightly smaller form factor. I really like the different charging heads that screw into the main USB cable. We will see how it holds up long term, but I'm confident it will take the worst I can dish out.

Have had it now for seveal months it has not come on and, battery is still charged. Did notice the back of the unit that plugs in is junk. The little screw that holds it was not long enough to make a secure fit. the bottom just snaps in and it comes apart very easy. Had to tape the back to the front without covering up the LED lights.

The real test will be when it has to come on to keep battery charged....

When batteries get old and hot they will discharge even after driving many miles, much more then butler can do and a battery butler will not help, have to replace the battery then...

I have bought at least 7 of these Battery Butler float chargers. Pros: nice small size, comes complete with wiring adapters, cheap price. Cons: JUNK. If you buy one, just throw it away when it comes in and save yourself some time. I have put them on all my cars, trucks, ATVs, etc. that sit for extended periods. Doesn't matter if you put it on a typical used battery, or even a new fully charged battery. Come back after the vehicle has sat for some weeks and the battery is DEAD. These things are worthless. I wish I had tried a couple before I committed to buying them for all the toys. Previous reviewer is correct in that they won't boil the batteries dry because they won't do anything.

This unit is a must for any vehicle that sits for an extended period of time. As long as the battery has a full charge this will maintain the battery and it will keep the charge topped off. Over the winter my bike sits for long periods and with solar maintainer the battery fires the bike up every time. A weather proof unit is what I needed since it is mounted outside of my garage. It also has a 15' extension for it. Beware that the positive and negative terminals are reversed on this unit as compared to most other battery chargers and maintainers so you will have to pay attention to that if you are swapping cables or you are integrating it will another charging device.

I purchased this array to charge an accessory battery on my golf cart. It seems to be well made and is water proof, which is why I bought it. It comes with ample cords and is small in size.

I would have given it 4 or 5 stars, but, it has no LED or any way to know if and when it is working. Some of these arrays ( some cheaper) have at least an LED to let you know the thing is functioning. A serious draw back IMHO!

Last year once the spring rolled around and it was time to start mowing grass again, I found out the battery to my riding lawnmower was dead. I also recently bought a Harley and feared that the same thing would happen. I store both of these items in my shed where there is no electricity run to it. The cheapest option I found was to use two of these solar power battery maintainers to keep the charge in my batteries fresh. So far I have been using them for several weeks and have had no discharging issues with my batteries or starting either pieces of equipment. I used a multimeter to check the voltage on the solar panels to ensured both worked prior to placing them on my shed. The true test will come this winter to see if the batteries stay charged. This kit comes with clamps as well as cables to permanently install a quick connect. I chose to use the permanent connects directly connected to the batteries. The only reason I give this four stars is that the positive connect on the quick connect is not covered. I'm not an electrical professional but I do believe that the bodies of lawnmowers and motorcycles are grounded to the negative terminal. Therefore if you disconnect the quick disconnect and it touches the body of the vehicle it will be like connecting the positive and negative terminals. I've been careful enough not to let that happen, I'm assuming it would blow the fuse. The solution for this is before you disconnect the solar charger quick connect, remove the inline fuse from the cable. If someone knows electricity better please correct me.

I bought two of these and mounted them to my PWC trailer tongue. During the day, there is anywhere from 7-18 volts DC flowing to my batteries keeping them fresh. Taking out pwc batteries and bringing them home to keep on a trickle charge sucks. My PWC's are kept in an open storage lot and these work perfectly to keep the batteries fresh with NO maintenance.

I bought it to charge our iphones in the car, or an iphone and ipad. Its not clear in the description if it works with those (some don't) and found out when I got it that only ONE of the two ports works for these devices, and the other port doesn't (it says so on the device itself too). It was so cheap it was worth the experiment, but doesn't work for its intended purpose of charging both our phones at once in the car.

Used it once, and worked for a while and quit while on a car trip. Took it apart and found a bad solder joint. Re-did that, and it worked for a hr more or so, then quit altogether.... Skip this one and just get a Griffon charger; worth the extra money.

I received the 2 port USB car charger a week ago and have just gotten a chance to try it out. At first everything seemed to working well with it. It charged my Fiance's Samsung Moment extremely fast... almost...too fast. It went from 28% to 100% in about 4 minutes! I was amazed! Then I thought about the damage that can cause and quickly unplugged the phone from the charger. I was unfortunately too late. Her battery is now ruined and I need to buy a new one. This charger achieved the incredible charge rate by over-volting. This is extremely dangerous for delicate electronics such as cell phones, gps, tablets, ya know, things this charger is apparently designed for. Sadly her phone no longer holds a charge and you can watch the battery gauge drop 10% a second as soon as its unplugged from a good charger. Next time I will buy a quality name brand charger for something expensive such as cell phones. Lesson learned.

I needed a dual usb charger for a trip I went on. I ordered this because of the price and reviews. So far it has worked great. It does feel a little cheap so I am worried about the long term use, hence the 4 stars.

Pros: Works and is cheaper than most of the competitors.

Cons: Cheap feel.

Is somewhat long so if you have a gear shift close to your dc outlet as I do, then it is a tight

fit in park. I had to keep unplugging my ipod when I put the car in park.

EDIT:

I have now taken it on 3 separate trips and it works great. It has yet to fail anytime I plug in my phone and ipod. I keep it in my backpack and it hasnt broken yet so I think it is worth the money.

I bought this to use with a Vivair air compressor that draws about 15A. It will work off some accessory sockets, my bimmer works for instance, but not for very long without the engine running. In my truck, the amp draw is high for the accessory socket and it is only active with the engine running. This is a bit of a pain when you want to check and air up your tires. So I clip this to the battery terminals and I am good to go. The clips are not huge but work fine for me and the construction overall is fine. It is nothing very fancy but it is well worth the modest price IMHO.

I bought this cable to go along with the viair 85P portable air compressor, that way I didn't blow fuses.

As soon as I opened the cable, I noticed it was only a couple feet long, which is not very long, but I was happy anyway.. The clamps also don't open up far enough to connect to a battery terminal securely.

I took it outside and plugged it up to my compressor, popped the hood of my car and as soon as I opened the clamp the positive wire fell out of the clamp.

Once I inspected the wire and the clamp, you could clearly see there was almost NO solder on the wire, and what little bit was on it was a "cold joint". The cable was also not crimped to the clamp like it was suppose to be (it looks like someone forgot to crimp it) , which is another reason it came apart.

I went ahead and pulled the sleeve off the negative clamp and noticed it WAS crimped (unlike the positive clamp), but the solder was also very little and cold-jointed.

Both clamps were also forming rust around the solder connections where the wire goes.

LUCKY FOR ME, I own a soldering station, so I disassembled both clamps, cleaned up the rust, re-soldered them on PROPERLY and THEN crimped them. They work perfect now and should never come loose again.

This is the first time I've ever rated a product 1 star, but when it literally falls apart as soon as you remove it from the box , it deserves 1 star.

I'm just glad I wasn't stuck somewhere on the road with a flat when it fell apart on me. Luckily I ALWAYS test my equipment before I rely on it for emergency use.

I wouldn't recommend this product unless you own a soldering iron and want to take the gamble of fixing it yourself or returning it to amazon.

EDIT: I bought another set of these cables, and they were properly crimped and soldered, I will upgrade my rating from 1 star to 2 stars, but RoadPro needs to improve their Quality Control.

Works as advertised. The little clamps should be much bigger the same size as what you have on light duty jumper cables. This way they would connect securely. Also, the short wire supplied should be a tad thicker. Main concern and 4 stars is b/c of the clamps being small and not very secure on battery terminals.

Very handy to toss in the trunk. Using this will protect your ciggy lighter socket that could get overloaded. Every car should have one. I use it for an air pump and a very powerful camp light.

Note, most lighter plugs are limited to around 10 amps by fuse or circuit breaker in addition they have long run of small (higher resistance) wire to the jack which 'may' cause a voltage drop to your equipment.

Short of 'hard wiring directly' this is the next best thing.

This has none of that and of course it's the same as hooking directly to the battery so know what you are doing (sparks, load, polarity, fingers)...

You might also want to pick up a heavy duty male to female ciggy plug extension cord...
