I bought one for myself and one for my husband. He charges his Droid bionic and I have a iPhone 5. I do have to use my adapter since the kit didn't have an attachement for the 5 yet. It charges with a USB on your computer so I plug it in at work when it needs a charge. Blue light when its charging, red when its fully charged. Then it comes with a little sock to store it in. I keep it in my bag for backup when I am out. Fully charges my iphone when needed, not fast but does the trick when you don;t have a regular charger or a place to plug it in. Shop around. Some deals on amazon, depening on the retailer and even color. I bought mine on groupon for $19.99. I just ordered 2 more I like them so much! One for my mom and one for my daughter!

This package includes two new Rayovac "Hybrid" rechargeable NiMH AA cells, plus a simple charger. Similar to the Sanyo "eneloop", the Hybrid is also advertised to have low self-discharge rate, but not as low as that for eneloop. The eneloop is supposed to retain 85% charge in 12 months (when stored at 20 degree C), whereas the Hybrid is supposed to retain 80% charge in 6 months (no mention of temperature).

On the other hand, the capacity for the Hybrid is rated at 2100mAh, which is slightly higher than that for the eneloop (2000mAh). I have tested both brands and can confirm that both ratings are accurate. In actual applications, the difference in performances between Hybrid and eneloop cells is probably negligible. So it all comes down to price. Unfortuantely, this Hybrid package offered here is just not a good value compared to similar eneloop packages.

The charger included here is a timer-based dumb charger. It forces you to charge cells in pairs (either 2 or 4), and it does not know whether the cells are fully charged. It simply charges at around 350mA for 8 hours and turns off (obviously it was designed for 2500-2700mAh batteries, because 350mA*8hr=2800mAh). In contrast, the chargers included in eneloop packages are "smart", in the sense that they charge cells individually, and stop whenever each cell is full.

Unless prices for the Rayovac Hybrid batteries come down significantly, I'll say stay with the Sanyo eneloop.

This charger is perfect for you Rayovac rechargeable batteries. It does have indicator lights that give the status of the charge. I like the older style better that red LEDs since they turned off when the charge was complete. This changes the indication (steady to flashing). The batteries get quite hot when charging, but this is normal. The Rayovac rechargeables are super batteries. They hold their charge in the camera or device as well as in a zip lock bag inside my camera bag unlike other NiCd type batteries. I only use these types of batteries now in my Canon i5is and the associated Canon flash, and I also use them in a set of noise canceling headphones (AAA). The storage lifetime and use lifetime is exceptional. The charger can charge AAA or AA and even paired mixes of each kind (e.g., 2 x AAA and 2 x AA).

The batteries last for a while. They charge pretty quickly too. The only downside is that the charger itself and the batteries connect pretty loosely. It's not a secure connection, so if you hit the charger with the batteries in it, it'll pop out of place.

This is a pretty simple item, a small two usb DC adapter with a small red LED to let you know when it's drawing power. Unlike some of the competition it does not come with cables or anything else, just the adapter in a plastic bag. One of the outlets is 2.1 amps, the other is 1 amp, so you can charge two items at the same time such as a cell phone and a tablet. What I like about this item is that it is much smaller in size than others I have used with two usb outs so it doesn't take up much room in your glovebox and will not take up a lot of space around your cigarette lighter plug. I also appreciate the low cost. My experience with DC adapters is that they tend to die after a year or so anyhow. Although I would rather pay more and have one that lasts since I can't seem to find one I would rather get an inexpensive unit knowing that I will probably have to replace it on a daily basis.

Update: this unit would only recharge my cellphone ( a Nexus GSM ) using the 2 amp outlet and would only charge my Samsung Tab 7 Plus, Asus Transformer or iPad 3 in trickle mode when they were turned off, making it absolutely worthless. The brand I had purchased from Amazon before could charge my phone and the Tab at the same time while they were on, but it burned out after two months. Maybe it's just impossible to find one of these that will charge both at the same time and last a while. Anyway, I am returning this and trying yet another brand maybe my luck will change.

Worked great on first usage, but when I tried to use it a second time it made a whining noise and then smelled burnt. It was at this point that I figured the fuse had popped, but when I opened up the unit there was no fuse! From the look of the inside they never intended to put a fuse in it which is stupid. Do not buy!

Nice unit, compact and looks decently made. The problem is that I bought it to charge my Garmin Nuvi 1450, which unfortunately goes into "USB Transfer" mode when plugged into this outlet. No amount of mucking with the cable has yet yielded simple charging, thus this product is rendered useless for me.

Beware -try your desired device on a standard AC USB power supply before committing to this product. If it won't charge with your AC dongle, it will behave the same way with this auto charger.

I think the greatest frustration in shopping for this type of product is verifying a custom fit design. I was lead to believe this was a custom fitted product NOT SO! While this is well made of heavy rubber, it is a generic design that requires trimming to get an OK but not perfect fit.

This car charger (model 6555) claims to be equivalent to the Nokia LCH-12 car charger which claims it is compatible with the Nokia 6230 phone.

It is not. The pin on the car charger is MUCH too small to fit the Nokia 6230.

This charger MAY work with other phones but the description is definitely wrong with regards to the Nokia 6230.

Buyer Beware.

This was as much Amazon's and my fault as the sellers. The charger was not for the phone I had. I picked it because it was a "combo" item shown below the battery which came up on a search for my phone. It shouldn't have popped up but I should have checked it more closely to make sure it fit the phone.

However the seller, Eforce city, handled the problem courteously and promptly.

The battery is another story. It "works" but the original purchased about 4 years ago, held a charge for a week to a week and a half of light usage and standby. This one holds a charge for three days under the same conditions. A note says it needs to be recharged a few times before reaching its maximum capacity, so I'll wait a bit longer & see what happens.

sometimes you feel good knowing you got something online super cheap and useful. After buying this product, that lasted for me for about 2 months before the charger just split into two. see the line in the plastic that divides the charger into two at the USB slot on the picture? it just came apart and exposed all the wiring. Yeah, it's only a couple bucks but it'l break down on you fast. Then you have to get back online, order, pay, and wait for shipping all over again. If you don't want to go through the hassle just spend a couple more bucks to buy a quality item. It'll be worth the investment.

As soon as I took this charger out of the bag it arrived in, it fell apart. Very poor construction. On the end that plugs into the car there is a metal tip and two plastic rings that are supposed to retain the metal tip. These rings just fell off and the small metal tip shot across the room when I pulled it out of the bag (the metal tip has a spring behind it to make sure it makes good electrical contact when plugged in). My recommendation don't buy it spend a few extra dollars to get someting that has at a least a little bit of quality to it and lasts more than 1 minute.

I bought a new Honda SH150i this Summer (2011). By this Fall the battery was discharged and even using a proper trickle charger it would no longer hold a charge. I did some research and found that this was the right battery and ordered it (rather than waiting for Honda service). It arrived quickly and I was able to add the acid myself. I did it in a well ventillated area, wore rubber gloves, had water and baking soda nearby in case of a spill. The system they have for adding the acid, if you follow the directions, is slick, not a drop of acid was spilled (I'd still recommend the precautions though). One thing not in the directions, and that you'll rarely see mentioned, is that you should let the battery sit for an hour after waiting the allotted time for the acid to empty (the tubes were bone dry before the end of the time they recommend). I'd still let it sit the amount of time they say and then let the battery sit for at least an hour, maybe better overnight, after you seal the battery, for the glass matting inside the battery to completely absorb the acid, *before* you then trickle charge it (using the appropriate charger) to put its' first full charge on it. My SH150i scooter has started immediately ever since. If any bike is going to be sitting for more than a week or two at a time, consider getting the proper trickle charger and leaving the battery on the trickle charger to maintain the battery.

Update 05/06/2013: This battery is still going strong in my Honda SH150i
