For the longest time CTEK has aimed at the european car market with 8, 10 mm eyelets, DIN dashmount adapters, etc. For the first time we have their jack with 1/4" (YES INCH) eyelets. This makes for great compatibility on power panels with 1/4" hardware that never fit right with mm sized eyelets.

The 1/4 rings allow you to install a permanent jack for long term storage or recharging dead batteries on american cars. This is not the version with the red, green, yellow LEDs to indicate charge status on the battery those are higher priced by a few dollars and allow you to read the charge status of the battery by watching which LED flashes.

None of the LED indicator models that I have reviewed (priced higher than the simple jack like this) have american hardware yet, so if you want that feature just cut the xx mm ring off, strip the wire back and crimp on the connector which best fits your fuseblock. The blinking LEDs do not draw much power from the battery due to the brief flash, so you can ignore the power loss.

My charger is over five years old. Ctek didn't note that they changed the configuration of their connections lately so they aren't compatible with the old models. I'm not inclined to go through the bother of returning it. If you have white colored connectors, these new ones will NOT work. Otherwise, they look like they are well made.

Update, Ctek sent me a cool adaptor that allows my old charger to connect to this new device. All's well and the new rig works better than ever!

I have the weathertech branded charger, that apparently is a CTEK charger. The comfort connect is a bit more sturdy than the typical pigtail. The length of this connector is perfect for my Ducati 848. It is hidden just inside the fairing but accessible.

Works great, using one on my wife's Honda 750 Aero and the one that came witht the chareeger on my Honda vtx 1300c. Easy to connect. I tuck mine in behind the side panel on the left side, so its not just hanging down from the bike, then just take the side panel off to plug it in. I may secure with a tie eventually, but it doesn't seem to go anywhere. Maybe now my batteries won't keep dying!

I purchased this item a couple of months ago despite the single one-star review that was then published. I'm glad I did. It works like a charm. I use it on a marine battery to keep it ready to go for use with my canoe trolling motor. I was concerned that it might draw power when it was not actually topping off the battery. It doesn't. When I check on it from time to time I pick it up to determine whether it is warm, like the charger on my laptop. It is always cool. It is truly automatic. It's compact, light and simple to use. At first I used the alligator clamps that came with it, but then I switched to the ring leads that are also included. They are a more secure option. I don't see how you beat this charger for the price.

I tried 2 of these chargers and both were defective, in each case there was no output and the red status lamp did not illuminate even when I purposely tried to charge a known bad battery. I have 2 other inexpensive Walmart chargers that I use to maintain the batteries in my motorcycle and streetrod but I wanted to change to a trickle charger so that could not overcharge them. I've returned both units to Amazon and I will purchase another product brand. Amazon's return policy is great, so my advice is, always buy from them.

This charger was affordably priced and it worked fine for a while, but it didn't take more than a few months of ordinary, gentle use before the connecting wire (apparently at the phone end) to develop a weakness that requires one to hold the connection to the phone with some manual pressure in order to sustain the charging process. Because the original one that I lost was smaller and more compact for traveling. Also it gives me no indication when the battery is fully charged. The original had the power light go out when it was fully charged.

I bought this fancy battery charger and it works pretty good. After about two months half of the display went out. Getting ahold of Optima is proving to be very difficult. Until my warranty is dealt with I cannot recommend this product. I would buy a regular battery charger and a battery tender instead of this expensive complicated charger/tender with a fragile display and poor customer service from Optima.

I must admit I was anxious to try this unit and Amazon has the best price $149. If you don't see this price then they are out of stock and check back every day until you do.

I don't have time to write anything to long but will say that this is the best charger I have ever owned! It does so much and is very complete package! I am using a desulfator along with it to restore old battery. This unit starts at 1.25v which no charger will do. I have a Battery Tender which was not able able to charger and bring back one of my Odyssey battery's but the Optima did. Anyhow its your call what you buy but your a fool if you pass this charger up for a any lesser. I have learn my lessons that's all I will say.

I bought this charger because I needed one for my truck works great for that. What really impressed me though was hooking up a supposedly "dead" battery from a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Source) connected to my computer system. I hooked up the battery to this charger and about 2 hours later the battery readout was at 100% and the UPS is working fine now. I don't know how long it will last, but the charger is reading its capacity at 100% so I'm guessing it's good for the immediate future. That saves me about $60 because I'd ordinarily go to Batteries Plus and just get a new battery.

Very functional product eliminates the tangled cord problem when stored in your car. Blue light power indicator much more visible than the standard green light on most power chargers. The plug is somewhat difficult to remove from the phone, but that seems to be true of most chargers for my Ericsson phone.

Cheap Carmanah GPRV-125 Go Power! 125 Watt Solar Charging Kit

I bought this kit and it came with absolutely everything I needed to install the solar system. It has the 125 watt Carmanah solar module, the 25 amp digital Go Power regulator and all the wire and mounting hardware that I needed to put it on my travel trailer. The instructions for the installation were very simple and this was an easy install, in my opinion. The solar panel has been on for a couple of weeks now and I have to say I wish I had bought one a long time ago. My batteries never seem to be low and I just got back from a 3 day camping trip. I highly recommend this solar kit for anyone who would like to no longer worry about dead batteries in their RV. There is a 25 year warranty on the panel as well. Make sure you get a Go Power solar kit though because they have the best support and they have the better regulator that comes with the solar kit.

This is a video I made on Movie Maker to show aveything that comes in the GPRV-125 kit, incase you are wondering. There is everything you will need to install the solar kit with exception of sealant which you will need if you are installing on an RV roof. I used Dicor sealant on the mounting brackets when I put this on my RV roof. The panel has been on my roof for a year now and it still puts out 7 amps on sunny days and has kept my batteries charged. The charge controller which is called a GP-PWM-25 (in the video) can actually handle 3 of these 125 watt panels but I have not had a need to do so. I have been very happy with this product, it is definitely higher quality then some of the other brands I have seen out there.
