Have used this set in both Monaco & most recently, Ireland, I've awarded it a star for each device the converter actually supported: a basic hair dryer & surprisingly, a clothes steamer. However, forget trying to use it with any kind of powerful flat iron, such as a CHI. I also tried to run a white noise machine off it, for sleeping through my husband's snoring. After a couple hours, it overheated & quit.

If you leave the US only occasionally & don't care about having raccoon eyes & Mrs. Frankenstein's 'do', this set is nifty. However, if you travel frequently, & wish to appear human, we've learned the hard way that you can't do things on the cheap. I suggest investing in 240v appliances, available online, & a set of universal adapters for use in different regions. Trust me, a single trip to the hairdressers for a formal business function in Monaco was just as expensive as buying a decent 240v flat iron I can use over & over!

Pros. Comes with a nice selection for foreign outlet plug adapters. Large 2000 watt capacity. Automatic selection of "hi" or "Low" wattages. "Resetable" circuit breaker (vice fuse) protection for accidental overloads.

Cons. The on-line description of what the unit will (and will not do) is incomplete, if not misleading. My efforts to obtain an owner's manual from the manufacturer's web site (prior to my purchase) were fruitless. The owner's manual (that came with the unit) stipulates that the unit is not to be used with two very common electric travel items, namely, hair dryers, manufactured in 1992 or more recently due to their electronic safety circuitry and electronic devices of more than 50 watts such as computers, hair curlers, flat irons (hair straighteners), etc.

What happened to the 2000 watt capacity??

Had I been aware of these limitations, I would not have bought this unit for my particular purpose.

Used this product in Thailand a few weeks ago, plugged product into outlet, then plugged only a power strip into this product (nothing else was plugged into power outlet). The power strip went bad. Some smoke came out of the power strip and it made a loud pop noise.

This jewel is very light to pack a 50Amp punch. I connected it to a battery insufficient to turn over the starter. The guy working on the house left his light on in the truck bed. I connected the charger to the battery while in the 2Amp mode, then plugged the battery charger into the 120VAC receptacle. I then switched it to the 50Amp selection and allowed to charge the battery for 4-5 minutes. While the charger was still connected to the battery, the guy was able to start his truck. Man was I blown away. Following the instructions, I changed the charging selection switch to the 2Amp mode, disconnected the charger from the 120VAC receptacle, and then disconnected it from the battery. How sweet no arcing, no sparking. This is a must have!!! Excellent value and quality.

I bought this charger 3 months ago and it failed this morning when I plugged it in. There was no load on the charger as the alligator clips were well separated and definitely not short circuited. Being an engineer I took the cover off, traced the circuit diagram and ohmed-out the transformer to find that the transformer had failed. It is not repairable.

UL approval requires that the hot wire of the power line first go to a circuit protection device (fuse or circuit breaker). There is no visible fuse or circuit breaker in the 120V circuit. The hot power wire goes directly to the transformer, which is a gross UL violation, unless there is a fuse inside the transformer, which I cannot determine since it is a sealed unit. The neutral wire goes to a switch which chooses different transformer taps for different output current settings. Thus, it appears that the 120V circuit must be protected by the house circuit breaker.

A small point, the 50 amp. output is unlikely since there is a 35 amp. 12 volt breaker in series with the negative DC output lead. This, of course, does not protect the AC side of the circuit.

Be very careful with this product as it may be a fire waiting to happen. If you own one I suggest that you place it on a concrete floor far away from any combustible materials. Do not place this unit on a wooded work bench while plugged in to AC power.

Except for an old used service station charger that was given to me, I have never owned anything but Schumacher chargers, and have never had one to fail. The old Schumachers that were replaced with newer models with upgraded features were all handed down and continue to serve family and friends. I ordered a model SE-5212A several months ago, and was very impressed with the upgraded features, especially the over-charge protection. This feature is a real worry-free way to keep a full charge on my lawn equipment batteries, my boat batteries (including conventional deep cycle and starting batteries). I have not had a need to use the 50 amp start feature on an auto battery, but I did use it on a small garden tractor battery. The tractor engine started with nearly no effort. I really believe this is the best charger for any of us do-it-yourselfers regardless of price. I was so impressed, I just ordered a second one so I can keep one in the garage and the other in a detached shop.

Best Kensington K66627US Windshield Car Mount with Sound Amplified Deals

I wanted a windshield mount for the iPhone to use in my F-350 and do not need bluetooth or FM transmitter. I want to use it with a GPS app and also have the phone easily reachable for calls. All the generic holders I have looked at were ugly and too bulky looking. Plus, I want one that lets me keep my case on my iPhone 3gs while it is in the mount. The price looked good for the Kensington Amplified mount and it appeared to meet my needs. Overall, the Kensington mount is ok, but not great.

The good:

Easy to mount the iPhone in the holder, with or without a case on the phone

Phone seems very secure in the mount, not likely to fall out

Suction cup is strong, adheres to windshield very well

Sound amplification is pretty good when not using a case on the iPhone

Can easily position phone in portrait or landscape mode

Keeps iPhone at my fingertips while driving, easy to answer a call and use speakerphone

The bad:

Length of the flexible arm is a bit too long.

The phone bounces while driving making it hard to read GPS screens. This is due to the long flexible arm and probably made worse in my truck (F-350 4x4) due to the stiff suspension. May not be a problem in a car with a softer ride.

Sound is not amplified very well with a case on the iPhone because there is a bit of a gap left between the iPhone speaker and the rubber base on the mount. Kensington includes different rubber pieces to use with a bare iPhone and iPhone cases, but they do not get a good seal with a case on. I have tried 4 different cases, the Griffin Reveal had the least amplification of them all. The inCase slider and a silicone case had a better seal and therefore better amplification.

Only sound from the left speaker is channeled through the sound chamber. The part of the mount directly under the right speaker is just a hole with a piece of black foam padding.

Many car charger connectors are a bit too big to fit in the gap at the bottom of the mount for charging the iPhone while driving. The connector must be very small, like the connector on the USB cable that came from Apple with the iPhone. My aftermarket car charger does not fit.

The two main things that keeps this from being the perfect windshield mount is the bounciness of the phone while driving and lack of sound amplification when using a case, in particular the Griffin Reveal case, since that is my favorite case at the moment.

This is really a magnificent product. I had low expectations for it, but it's really remarkable.

The windshield mount has a quality suction like a GPS device so that it doesn't fall off the window. Additionally, it's extremely easy to mount this to your air conditioning vent. In my car, this was a perfect fit and places my iPhone in a great location.

When the iPhone is mounted it can be swiveled to landscape mode, and there is a nifty little sound amplifier built in which actually works. It's also very easy to dock and undock the iPhone and it can easily accommodate it with or without a case. Finally if you connect power to the device there is plenty of room at the bottom to have the charging cable attached.

My only complaint is that there aren't really any instructions or manual for this gizmo.

I was considering getting the TomTom GPS mount for my car, but this is a far better value IMHO.

I was looking for a mount for my iphone that did two major things gave me full flexibility as to the position of the phone, and was simple to get the phone in and out of, even with a case. The Kensington Windshield mount meets both of these goals very well. The windshield mount sticks very securely; it has yet to fall off. The suction cup included with my TomTom navigation unit fell off several times during every trip, so this is a big improvement. Inserting the phone and removing it is dead simple it's so easy that I am using it even for short trips when I'm not listening to music or using the navigation as taking phone calls or glancing at alerts is much easier. As already noted, the mount comes with several different rubber inserts for the bottom of the phone to aid in the amplification. I was able to find one set that fit my case fairly well, and the amplification works decently. I have no trouble hearing the phone over the radio. One niggle is that those rubber mounts don't seem too secure and I've nearly knocked them out a couple of times while putting the phone in. If you take a little bit of care in how you do this, it's not much of an issue, but it could be improved. Getting the phone out is almost too easy. I've actually twisted it out of the holder once or twice while fumbling with the volume buttons on the phone.

The flexible arm is very long. This works well for me because it's mounted on the windshield and it places the phone almost flush with the front of the dashboard of the car, making it easy to read and to reach. If you plan on mounting it on your dashboard though it could be excessively tall. I tried the vent mount on both of our vehicles and could not get it to be adequately secure in either one. That's ok with me because I didn't buy it intending to use it that way, but if you are, be aware that it may or may not work for you.

The fully flexible arm allows you to place the phone in any position you like, and it rotates 90 degrees left and right. The arm is only marginally stiff enough, but even in my car with stiff suspension it is stable enough to read. It seems a little better with the phone in landscape mode. Overall it would be an improvement if the arm were marginally stiffer. A nice detail is that the holder is designed to hold your charging cable when not in use. While it won't hold the oversized dock connector in my car, it still has plenty of room to connect to the phone itself.

Overall this is a great product that exceeds my expectations and I am about to order a second one for our other car.

Cheap Viper 7941V 2-way Replacement Transmitter

Bought as a replacement for the remote that came with my alarm system. While this is 'prettier' and 'fancier' than the other model,(full color screen with animations instead of a black and white LCD screen.). Design wise its not really better. In some ways its worse.

While this one has taken the buttons on the side and move most of them to the front and made them easier to press. It has also resulted in making the 'Button Lock' feature pretty useless. Now I can just rub the buttons on the front back and forth and it will unlock the buttons, and worst remote start or unlock the car!! This never happened with the other model because you had to press a smaller button on the side (which was not easy to press), and then press the 'unlock' button on the front.

Accessing the settings and menus is much easier in this model due again to the color screen and the side scroll / push button.

Other than that this one does all the same things as the older one. To be honest, since the older model is cheaper, I would recommend that unless you just have to have an animated color screen, you would be better off with the cheaper, more secure 7752V model. At least with the old one, when you lock your car, and the buttons on the remote lock, you can rest easy knowing they wont unlock while it moving around in your pocket!

Then you can use the extra money you saved to buy a case for the remote!! (Both can get pretty beat up after a while with out one!)

Over the past three years my Viper two way transimtter has taking a beating and slowly started to fail me. First the battery would not fully charge and the remote would die on my unexpectedly. Then fianlly the remote would not charge at all. This is the perfect replacement at a great price. I replaced my black and white LCD remote with this newer remote. I have the 5901 Viper 2 way remote. My original remote was falling apart. setup took less than 5 minutes following the direction on the back of the package. The range is as good as the original remote, and battery life seems to be pretty good so far. This remote is a lot easier to access the extra menus than with the old lcd remote. It is a tad large, but it is what it is.

The charger does what it should do charging two USB devices at the same time. However there is a severe limitation the output is rated at 1.5A max, not enough to charge the Apple iPad.

Pros:

Works well with USB devices that does not demand a lot of power. It works with my iPhone, Android phone, Kindle, and Bluetooth headset.

Comes in frustration-free packaging. It is very easy to open the paper board packaging.

Cons:

The two USB ports are rated at 1.5A total. According to the original iPad charger, you need 2.1A to charge the iPad. Not being able to charge the iPad is the reason that I have to give it a three-star rating. Basically it does not enable me to carry only one charger. (Other users pointed out that the charger does charge the iPad. The iPad screen must be turned off in order for it to be charged by this charger. The trickle charge mode takes a long time to charge the iPad, and the iPad shows "not charging" although the battery does get charged over time. Upgrade to 4 stars because of this update.)

Although it does not take much space when plugged into a wall outlet, the footprint is relatively big and it will block two outlets if used with a power strip.

It gets very warm when charging two devices at the same time.

This is the first time I write a review about anything, ever, and I'm doing so because of how much I regret buying this charger. I figured that since Energizer has a good reputation I was going to get a quality product, boy, was I wrong. This thing makes the most annoying buzzing sound when I try to charge anything with it. Like most people I prefer to leave my cellphone charging overnight on the nightstand, but the few times I did while using this charger I woke up with a headache. I've tested it with other devices and different outlets, always with the same results. The worst part is that sometimes the pitch of the buzzing changes, thus becoming even more annoying. Other than that, it works as advertised, but hey, so did Chucky.

When I opened the package, the unit smelled horrible, as if the wiring inside it was burnt. Even the outside of it smelled really bad. That sent me in the direction of wanting to return it immediately. It smelled so badly that my family noticed it before I even plugged it into the wall. It was sticky on the outside and the smell stuck on my fingers even after washing them. When I plugged it into the wall the smell amplified and a hissing sound began--like the buzzing noise referred to in the other reviews. I too thought that because it was from Energizer, a reputable company, the quality would be better but it definitely was not.

I received a refund without having to return the item but I honestly would prefer to return it. It is absolutely not useable. There is no way I would remove this charger from its packaging again. I'm throwing it out. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

I used to be a big APC fan, but over the years I have had all kinds of problems with them not behaving well after a battery change. They don't even like the batteries purchased from APC.

I wanted something to use with my computers that did not require specific batteries.Tripp Lite APS1250 1250W 12V DC to AC Inverter with Automatic Line-to-Battery 30-Amp Charger

This product worked out great because I just picked up a couple of Marine Deep Cycle Wet batteries (approx $60 ea) used some cables I had around (#2 Battery cables from auto parts store work great) Just get short ones with two eyes for the connections between batteries (wingnut on bolt connections on most deep cycles) and one longer one to cut in 1/2 and use for both connections to the APS.

The APS takes a 5.5mm allen wrench to tighten the connections, I had to cut the plastic around the outlets a little to get my power strip to plug in directly.

A large (8D) battery box will hold up to 3 size 24 batteries, so I am going to pick up one of those this week.

This unit does not have the B series of DIP switches.

This unit also initially charged the batteries at 50A and then dropped down as they took a surface charge.

The transfer to UPS is seamless when unplugging from the wall for testing.

No flicker or anything on any of the computers.

I am running two computers (+LCDS, Drives, etc) one with a 1000W DA1000 SilverStone DA1000 1000W ATX 12V 2.2 and EPS 12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready Modular Active PFC Power Supply Retailthe other with a really old 350W supply.

I also have 5 SATA drives in the desktop.

The desktop really only drew 25A on a bootup on battery which = 300W, the constant draw on the batteries with both systems in active mode is 24A The load also includes UVerse box, 8 port switch, two external drives, usb hub, phones, etc.

Am very pleased to retire my SU1000, my SU700R, and my SU420NET upses as well as the various BK500s in my office for this one, much more efficient unit.

When I do some AC testing for how the unit performs from a generator, I will add to my review.

I have installed this along with an AGM battery as a power back-up for my sump pump. It had no trouble starting my 1/3rd hp pump. A good feature is the "charge only" mode that allows you to shut the inverter down when not needed (the winter months in my case), thus preserving the battery. It also has a setting for the type of battery being used (wet cell or glass-mat). I bought this unit to replace one from the Inverter Store that failed in less than a year.

this is a great all-in-one solution for battery-based off-the-grid power. I spent a lot of time researching chargers and inverters and which ones I should combine before I found this, which does both easier and much cheaper for comparable performance.

my only suggestion would be for them to add a couple of fused terminals for direct DC power that could be shut off when the voltage is too low, but we can't have everything I guess.

UPDATE: after about 3 years of light summer usage, this thing up and completely quit on me. no power, nothing. it was nice while it lasted, but far too much to spend on something that is just going to fail after a while.

I have been spoiled with APC UPSes because they are cheap sine-wave inverters. I hooked a scope up to this thing, and the garbage that comes out is not even relatively clean power. It has spikes in it and all of my downstream UPSes don't even recognize the output of this as real AC power. I really wanted to like this device, and all of my decent UPSes use 24 volts, but I wanted a 12 volt UPS. I will attempt to post the waveforms on the product page. I returned it.

I bought this after my previous cheap quality inverter burned down after my jacket zipper short circuited the power. The problem with the previous one was that it had a lot of exposed surfaces.

First thing I noticed when I unpacked this beauty is that well, it's beautiful!! I mean even the colors are really nice. In the picture it looks like a simple black with red inverter. But that is not the case. It is actually Gloss black with a metallic burgundy plug and fan ends. I could not have asked for a better match to my old truck as it has a burgundy and black interior. It's looks very well built and laid out. The extra high output usb ports make it a match made in heaven. You can just barely hear the fan and only when I really tried. I used it the other day to make a 260 mile round trip with it running my netbook and never had a problem one.

On day 32 the fan all of a sudden started working double time and became very noisy. I tried unplugging it and plugging it back in and that's when the fan decided to squeal like crazy. Just went on like that for about a minute before it settled down. Then after that every time I plugged it in it did the same thing. I'm thinking, man what a bummer. I will just exchange it for another, but no way. I'm 3 days out of their warranty. I'm thinking NO WAY! So I get hold of customer service and they made it right (Way to go Amazon). So I thought, well only 32 days before fan failure I think I will get the next model up and see what happens. So that is what I did and purchased the Bestek 300 watt inverter. Now upon arrival (Super Fast Shipping) the first thing I noticed is that one of the USB frames was bent. Not a big deal but then as I turned it over the thing goes KLUNK. I'm like OH NOT AGAIN! As it turns out the screws that hold the fan were loose. After tightening them up everything was fine and it works well. I do notice that the fan is much noisier than the 150 watt unit but maybe being beefier it will not fail so quickly. Time will tell. I think that over all the quality control of this company is a bit poor. But being from China then what can we expect. The thing I really like over the 150 watt version is that the 300 watt version has a power switch, very handy. Hope this helps anybody with their decision to buy. Not sure if this is a bigger problem or not. Over all I really like the design of the 150 watt unit and it ran well until the fan failed. Good luck.

Well it had been several months and over 2000 mile trip running the newer bigger 300 watt version and I have had zero problems with it. Works great.

Nice package, pretty quiet I wasn't having any problems with this little inverter... until the fan developed a loud whine on startup. Okay I'm willing to cut it some slack, it was still putting out good power and the sound faded fairly quickly...

And then it wouldn't fade out. It sounds like the fan bearings have gone, after less than four months.

I can't say I'd recommend this unit but it's better than no inverter at all. And seeing the fan noise didn't start for a couple of months you're probably okay using this in a short-term situation. I don't know if it's a problem with this model, or if I just got lucky but I wouldn't get a second unless I was really hard up for power.

Recently, my wife and two kids 12 and under had to travel to California, which is a 12 14 hour trip from where we live.

We had just purchased some cheap Android tablets from Walmart, and all we wanted was to have an opportunity to let the kids re-charge their tablets during the long car drive. And it did exactly that. No fuss. No problems. The thing just worked, and although the kids' tablets can't be used when they are being charged, they figured out how to conserve energy (by playing games rather than watching movies), and they were able to charge one tablet as they were both playing on the other, and so forth.

Obviously, you want to read the technical specifications on a car power inverter like this. Small electric appliances, tablets and phones with electric adapters can be charged easily, but you wouldn't want to try and bring your food processor along, since that requires a lot more electrical power than this inverter can produce.

So with that in mind, I am still happy that we bought this item, and even though the vacation is long over, we still use it for this and that. To say that this comes in handy would be an understatement. I just can't say enough good things about this incredible little widget.

Using in my car to charge laptop/phone so i can use my other accessory outlet for my ipod transmitter...Does great for me, though i would recommend disconnecting it if you are shutting the vehicle off to ensure you do not drain your car battery.

The output of this thing is only up to 400mA which is not enought to charge neither your Zune not most of the modern cell phones They won't even show as charging when connected to this device. You need something with a higher output than 400mA if you want to charge your Zune.

For $20, this EDUP streaming music device does a pretty good job. I'm using this to stream music from my iphone 5 to my car's stereo. My car has a 3.5mm auxilliary jack and I currently use a long cord to connect the phone to the stereo. It's cumbersome and the wire always gets in the way.

Here's what the EDUP does well: (1) Easy to pair with my iphone 5 (just push the button for about 7 seconds until the lights flash and it's done). (2) Easy to turn on (just hold the button for about 3 seconds until the light flashes and the audio indicator plays over the car's speakers to let you know it's on). (3) Easy to turn off (just push the button for about 5 seconds until the light flashes and the audio tone tells you it's off). (4) Sounds just as good as plugging my phone directly into the auxilliary audio port in my car. (5) Can play and charge at the same time via the 12V power outlet in my car -I leave it plugged in all the time. (6) Falls asleep to conserve power when not used for about 20 minutes. (7) When a call comes in, I am able to turn on my bluetooth earpiece and the audio switches from the EDUP to my earpiece appropriately. (8) Comes with a short male 3.5mm to male 3.5mm jack (shown in the picture), a male 3.5mm to male 3.5 cable in case the little jack won't physically fit in your car (I prefer the cable because the auxilliary port is in the bottom of the center console of my car, which is tough to reach with all my junk in there -the cable allows me to put the EDUP on top of the stuff in the center console which is easier to reach), and a short micro USB charging cable.

Here's what could be improved: (1) While the on/off function isn't horrible, it could be easier... maybe toggle between on/off without having to count 3 or 5 seconds depending on which operation you want (seems like the device could figure out that if "I'm currently on and the user is pressing the button, the user wants to me to turn off now")... maybe separate buttons... maybe move the light indicator so it isn't directly on the button (which ends up being under the finger that is pressing the buttons). (2) I'd love it if this would automatically wake up when I turn on the car... maybe it could recognize that power from the 12V outlet is off and go to sleep and then when the power is restored, it could wake up. I realize the EDUP also runs on battery power, so this may not be technically feasible given that it will "always" have some form of power. (3) When I hang-up the bluetooth earpiece after taking a call, it would be awesome if the EDUP would resume playing music. As it is now, the music pauses when I switch over to the earpiece and I have to actually press the "play" button on the phone to get the music to resume after I hang up the earpiece. I think this is probably a function of the phone, not the EDUP, though.

If the EDUP could do #1 on the things on the "to be improved" list, I would have given it 5 stars. If it could everything on my "to be improved" list, I would have given it 5 stars AND I would have been willing to pay an additional $10 or $20 for the device. Other than that, it's a great little device and does what I had hoped it would do.

UPDATED: I started to get really irritated with the "hold the button for 3 seconds to turn on and 5 seconds to turn off" functionality. It seems that I could never get the hang of what 3/5 seconds felt like and it constantly took me 2 or 3 tries to get this thing to turn on/off. I purchased a different bluetooth receiver that doesn't have a battery. With the new receiver, when there's power, it's on. When there's no power, it's off. No on/off switch to deal with. I like it much better for my particular application.

I use this in the Aux port on my Harley so that I don't have more wires strung to my phone for music. Works great, sounds great! Has a decent battery lifestarts beeping over the system when it's about to die. A little confusing to power up/pair/power off, but not too complex. Great especially for the price!

This was a surprisingly good product! I was originally going to buy the HTC version, but that was about $50 dollars. This "generic" version worked just as well. I charged it overnight, popped it into the aux jack in my car, and had my phone connect to it, and BAM. Quality music was able to play for about 6-8 hours straight. The device also turns off automatically once you leave the car for a short period of time. So if you take your phone with you the device is smart enough to just power off. My only gripe is that you have to turn it on every time you get in the car. No problem though, just a short 2 second press on the button. Flashing Blue light means streaming. Flashing Red/Blue light means pairing mode.

Received the item very quickly in the mail (as the seller I had bought from promised)... Used it for 4-1/2 hours straight with no charge and the quality was superb!... I bought this to use with my Sony SRS-P7 passive speakers while in my house and i had ordered one of those Eco Extreme Waterproof Speaker Cases (from Grace Digital) to become my designated outdoor speaker (that i can't wait to get and try out, especially for the beach / river)... Felt I needed to go the Bluetooth route... because, most people that come over are very hesitant about hooking up there smartphones directly to capable audio players / speakers via the aux (3.5mm) input, unlike mp3 players... because trying to separate people from their phones is almost the equivalence of taking somebody off of life support or so it seems... but with this little devices Bluetooth receiver function, all of that becomes remedied!... since anyone can pair up their smartphone and take their hand at playing the DJ (even though everyone I know pretty much listens to internet radio exclusively)... since internet radio is definitely the preferred listening paradigm over anyone's "personal" mp3 player...

All in all, I think this is a sweet device and works just as good as the Miccus Blubridge $40 dollar version (which might just come with a cable or two extra)... which I saw youtube videos on both products and both seemed the same quality wise... but still, I just have to highly recommend that anyone who is looking for a reliable, wireless, and qualified solution (that's much better than any fm transmitter, if your attempting a wireless solution)... to stop, look no further and then order one of these guys!... This is without a doubt the coolest tool ever. It is compact, lightweight and very nicely done. I didn't know when I ordered it, the bits were attached. It is great the way they pull up and out, then insert into the front of the driver. Won't be losing my bits anymore. Has enough power to drive smaller screws, but not too much like my 19.2 volt monster. This is perfect for the crafts person or small around the house projects.

I love this thing. I am not good with using a drill as a screw driver and a drill gets heavy for me for a longer project. I recently assembled a chest of drawers; it took me about eight hours and it has a LOT of screws. The battery on this little screwdriver just kept chugging along; it did not need to be recharged. It is lightweight and turns at just the right rate of speed for me. Many years ago I had the type of cordless screwdriver with a straight handle, this pistol grip is much more ergonomically sound, much easier to work with, especially for the long project I did. And I love the stay-on bit holder--bits don't get lost. This is a nice piece of equipment and worth every cent paid for it.

Everybody else seems to like this little drill, but I found it next to useless because of the plastic (not metal!) bits. It absolutely never occurred to me anybody would make a drill with PLASTIC bits for screwing in metal screws -much less drilling a starter hole, which this thing certainly won't do. Oh well, I guess I should have known better. If the price and product descriptions sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Proved again.
